I’ve made fried rice with them. Not the best dish, but okay, and it was the only protein I had on hand.

2013? What about 1993???

Don’t nock it ‘til you’ve tried it.

I sometimes go to the newish Dollar General down the street from me, because the only other grocery store on this entire side of our town closed last year. We’re down to Walmart, ALDI, a regional chain store, and now Dollar General as the only places to get groceries in an area of about 20,000 people.

Last year we were at the new airport in Istanbul, and we had a long layover, like 8 hours. I wanted to take the free Turkish Airlines bus tour of Istanbul, which would have fit perfectly into the middle of the time we had available. But I could. not. find the place it departed from. I asked at 3 different places, and

The Fossil Sport has been selling for $99 for quite a while now. It’s an amazing deal. I’ve been wearing a Sport since they first came out, and I really have no complaints. I primarily use it for notifications, Google Pay, and as a timer, and it works great for all of those things. If you primarily want a fitness

Since you mention magic...Magic Erasers (or the generic equivalent) really are the best thing I’ve found for getting stubborn crud off of kitchen appliances. No chemicals required, just the wet foam pad.

Tap Gboard in the app drawer. Pick Preferences. The very top option is the toggle for “Number row,” and the second-to-last option is the toggle for “Long press for symbols.”

I mentioned it because the author said, “Gboard makes you dig around through menus to find a simple exclamation mark.” You don’t have to dig if you show them on the keys.

You can show symbols on the keys with Gboard, and also a number row. Very handy.

I agree. After their recipe change a few years back I find it pretty darn good, especially the buttery, garlicky flavor of the crust. My wife and I especially like Domino’s spinach and feta.

Another thing to replace might be the front end links. On the ‘96+ vans they were often the source of that knocking noise in the front end. I don’t know if the previous gen like David’s has the same geometry or not, but something to check.

It’s not the adhesive that fails. The foam layer under the fabric disintegrates with age.

When I was in middle school in the ‘70s, my grandmother was killed in a crash she likely would have survived had she been using a seat belt. That did it for us. My dad insisted we use them after that, and I’ve always worn a seat belt ever since, no matter how far I’m going. For a lot of people, it unfortunately seems

I just ate a McChicken, somehow for the first time in my 54-year life, and it was...not bad! I noticed that it’s on the “sides” menu, although for me it was the entree. Heck of a deal for $1. I’d eat it again.

He’ll be busy for the next month driving around Europe in a quarter million mile diesel K car minivan

His own personal GLHS #001 had a 16-valve head and some other special parts making it very quick. I was lucky enough to meet him at a show in 2004, and he said to me, “You know I’ve got an Omni that’s over 300hp?”

There were a few comparable American cars in that era that were quicker. The ‘85 Dodge Omni GLH, at about 2,200 lbs. and 145 hp, could legitimately get the “firecracker” label. And of course the following year Shelby made it the ‘86 Shelby GLHS, with even more bang.

I was in Tbilisi Georgia last year, and I only saw a single Chrysler product, a plain base model Caliber, which seemed a little weird to see there. On the other hand, a few years ago in Abu Dhabi I passed a place that had several Chryslers, and every single one was an SRT-8 or -10.
