Had this happen just the other day. The server clearly started to give my wife the 1/2 order of angel hair pomodoro and me the linguini alfredo, even though she had taken the order herself and it was the other way around. I’ve also had a server give my daughter my latte and me her cappuccino.

I’m in Illinois, and they are often called starlings around here, too, but starlings are actually a different similar-looking bird. Purple-hooded grackles are the worst. Really annoying and dirty birds.

Ah, Fidonet! We ran a node at the computer store where I worked in college. It took a good 20 years before the Web really caught up to the level of features we had on the old BBS systems.

My daughter lived in Bosnia for a couple of years, and savory burek (meat filling) and sirnica (cheese filling) were my favorite foods I had when we visited. That was 10 years ago, and I haven’t tried making it myself, although I have made baklava since then. I guess I should try making burek!

Yeah, I’ve had the stock 17's from my SRT-4 on one of my CSXes once, and I really think they look too big on a P-body.

That looks great. Now I’m ready for lunch. I made some cream of mushroom soup at Thanksgiving to use for scratch-made green bean casserole. It was a very last-minute thing, so I used what I had on-hand. I made some roux, used a mix of chicken broth and milk, added some re-hydrated chopped shiitake mushrooms, and...a

Yes, just chew them up. They “pop” in your mouth and release all the tasty juice inside. They’re pretty good, I think.

I’ve had them this way, and I agree. I also tend to put something spicy on hard boiled eggs. A little hot Chinese mustard and soy sauce is pretty good.

Substitute something else for a little acidity. You need something to cut through the richness a bit.

Hey, I had this in Georgia just a few months ago! It was one of the first Georgian dishes we had, although it was in small rolls, and not large like in the photo above. We had some very good food and wine on that trip. It’s kind of a bread- and meat-heavy cuisine, it seems like. There was cilantro in almost everything,

JT Blast-o-Butter is definitely the best microwave popcorn! These days I’ve been making my corn on the stovetop, though. I mostly use Orville Redenbacher for that. It’s got a very nice corny taste, and I never have any unpopped kernels at all.

That’s what I almost always do. Unless I’m feeling really lazy, I grind the salt with a mortar and pestle first to make it finer like actual popcorn salt. Yes, it has a bit of brown butter flavor from putting the butter in early like that, but I like that flavor. I typically do shake it once or twice during popping. I

A few years ago I was visiting my daughter who was living overseas at the time. The hotel we were at had this extensive buffet with breakfast foods from around the world. I tried something different every day, and I found that my overall favorite breakfast is cheese and olives. Now I alternate every other day between

I always love her segments on the show. She should have her own show!

Kinja! I figure one day my great grandchildren will be replying to it. :-)

I’ve forgotten what I was thinking. I wrote that 9 years ago! This is the post that never ends.

Looks exactly like ours, except that when I bought new tires last year I also downsized to 17" wheels. We really like this car. Luxury package, like yours, and I find the leather seats pretty comfy. It’s the fully motorized ones, with memory on the driver’s side. Maybe those are the Titanium seats? I don’t know.
