Old fart is another way of describing me, but I went for the more diplomatic wording :)

I remeber Steef. Very subtle, script writers, very subtle ;)

But... That only minimized iDom’s lead by one, right? So, who won in the end?

Control was among my three best games of 2019, and he really ought to play that, I agree.

Saw an Xbox video review, where it stutters all over the place. I played it on PS4 Pro, and it stutters, yes, but not worse than That Xbox review. So it is probably a general conversion issue. Very strange, as both Apex Legends and Titanfall 2 from same developer plays so well on consoles.

I’ve played it on a PS4 Pro, and I haven’t experienced any gamebreaking bugs - and I snagged the Platinum trophy, so I certainly went everywhere in the game :)

But... it’s in HD!? Seriously, I enjoyed them on both first and second playthrough, and they really shine on PS4. Before starting out, I thought I would tire of them before the end, but suddenly I had completed all three of them again. Go figure.

Now playing

You did include one No Man’s Sky trailer, but the first gameplay trailer really blew my mind more.

Sitting close to the tv and wearing a headset is a better solution (for me), as the constant “flying into the screen”, that Tetris Effect has, made me dizzy. YMMV, but I only needed to try this game in VR once.

As much as I enjoy the AC series, that sentiment is not shared. I, however, empathize with the purity of your emotion, as I, too, have had such feelings for a game - which I “waited” 13 years for a remake of: Shadow of the Colossus.

I hear you, but even though I am a lifelong fan of the series, I still had to lower the difficulty to Easy, as I struggled with some of the (in my opinion) unevenly spaced checkpoints. Perhaps I’m just betting old :)

If nothing else, it sure got the clouds absolutely right! I reviewed the game for a Danish site, and I lamented a bit on the archaic gameplay and the difficulty spikes, but the weather effects, clouds and skies was beyond most that has gone before.

The best? You pretty much showed us them all there, I think :)

Make sure you have absolutely nothing else to do for 50 hours. Then you’ll love Death Stranding.

True words, but too late, I’m afraid. I brute forced my way over the mountains with trucks and tribikes instead, and it worked fine. Or, at least, better than stumbling over my own legs. Repeatedly.

Because it’s a great game!

I agree about Control, but for the love of God, I cannot put Death Stranding on my top-anything list this year. It dragged on for 50 hours, and I had to complete it for my review. Grind can be ok, and I’ve done my part of it in past games, but placing it behind a trek over a mountain (rinse, repeat) is simply not

I could, but we’re all grownups here. Crying, sure, but grownups.

Loved Control. Played it extensively and walked away with the Platinum trophy. Hate time limits. Hate them. Played Expeditions once, and that’s quite enough. Bring on the storydriven DLC.

Virginia. Nailed it.
