It’s the equivalent of first-person shooters’ rocket jump.

I wanted to say something smart and knowing in an oldtimer kinda way, but you got me; double-jump really is king of the hill in platformers.

So true. Again, it only reinforces my ethos never to preorder anything game-related. The only/few ltd. ed’s I have, I bought later on, and I still managed to get them at a fair price.

Valid answer. I still think he should leave others’ secrets alone, though :)

We can discuss in detail what, exactly, he is exposing, and I will agree with you that there is a lot of marketing info, that doesn’t really apply as secrets to expose.

True, it’s also a question of, where the limits are for, what can be said publicly. And I am usually all for people discussing things openly, even if it exposes secrets like e.g. the end of End Game (after the movie has been released of course). As you say, just don’t look it up.

Yeah, I really don’t understand why people bother. I mean, it’s just one man’s opinion, and it wasn’t even that harshly worded.

I’m sure you are right - there is a lot of information out there, that is unnecessary. But at least that info is from the makers themselves, so they can hype/ruin their product as they see fit :)

In this case, the guy made it a habit of doing this as he apparently has a friend on the inside, and he really should keep that information to himself, as I’m sure the people keeping these secrets would also like to surprise the audience with it themselves. Big or small, it’s not his secrets.

I didn’t quite understand that, so let’s just agree to disagree :) Have a nice day.

You are infusing this discussion with more feeling than I did. I just think people should be allowed to expose their own secrets without anyone ruining the fun. And the fun is not just for the audience, you know. I am sure the hardworking marketing people are pretty annoyed as well.

Yup, and why do that? For one reason only, and that’s why I think he is a bit of an a**hole. These surprises might be small, but they are not his to expose, period.

You want my honest opinion? They are equally sad. I am in no way shouting this from the barricades, I am just airing my opinion, that I think people should stop spoiling things. Tell your friends over lunch, sure, but why shout it from the rooftops? In my book it is ruining a surprise, that isn’t yours to expose.

Again, I just think it is a shitty thing to do. I’m not angry or upset or rolling my eyes in disgust, but I simply do not understand, why people find it satisfying to steal others’ limelight by spoiling things, big or small. That’s just one man’s opinion, and you do not have to agree.

I am very calm. Dude sounds like an asshole, and that was said in a very calm voice. It’s just my opinion, so please just ignore it, if it doesn’t match yours.

Sabi sounds like an asshole going around ruining everbody else’s surprises.

The gameplay was solid, if the main character wasn’t. Oh, and Days Gone, I’m looking at you too in that respect. Damn, Deacon is one annoying biker.

I’m like you. And I’m with you. Those crates are bad. And the radar is almost as bad. Damn my OCD.

I can see a lot of people hated those ads. I really loved them. I’m not even a mac guy - if anything I’m a pc guy, as I work in IT (in an all pc environment), but they made me laugh. And I like both of these guys’ personas. Go figure :)

Yup, and it was just the opposite with PS3 and Xbox 360. The former had a tolerable low hum to it, while the Xbox 360 was noisy as hell. But Xbox One shows us, that it IS possible to create a modern console without much noise (and the newest Pro as well), so I hope they think about this in the design of the next
