Wish I’d had this advice 20 years ago! :) I’m not going through a breakup now, but I sure do remember how badly they can hurt. At least now people can find support on the internet.

I’m kind of wondering if dreaming about praying mantises is a thing. This is the third praying-mantis-related dream I’ve heard about. What gives?

When I was four I begged my mother for a praying mantis egg sac. She found one for me, bless her. When we moved, a few of the hatchlings hitched a ride in a potted plant. They loved the warmer climate in our new garden and grew to enormous size, always maintaining their delicate leaf-green coloring.

How about you make a contribution in her name to some worthwhile organization? Heifer International provides a card you can email or print out. But if you want to go with an organization that doesn’t, you could just write a message in a blank card. Something like, “Happy Mother’s Day, Operation Smile says Thank You.”…

There is sexualization, but it’s not a bug; it’s a feature. In my opinion, PP absolutely nails the transition from innocence to experience. The only ones who make it creepy are the priests. And that’s kind of the point.

Good point! I had been assuming those stats were for the US, but of course that may not be so. (It’s worth pointing out that I failed the Quantitative Reasoning test five times in college. I think that might be a record.)
