Serious question.  Does any super/hyper car not suck when driven anywhere other than a track?

Could just be a truck thing. Think of how many millions of trucks have come with OEM 20s over the last decade.

Ehh, it’s not much of a price difference when talking truck tires.  A set of 265/70x17s for my old F-150 were within a few dollars of the 275/55x20s I just put on my new F-150.  Both sets were General Grabbers, AT2 for the 17s, ATX for the 20s.

I’ve thought about doing a mild street build on a reg cab short bed F-150.  You can get the 5.0, but not the 3.5 Eco, only the smaller 2.7 Eco in the reg cab short bed models.  I was inspired by a guy I see occasionally on my morning commute.  ‘15-17, silver with a moderate drop and 22" wheels to fill out the wheel

I’m not sure what you would call it. He gradually pulled the throttles back to drop airspeed, then when it stalled, he pushed the nose down and added throttle to get lift back. He tried to sneak it on me to see how I would react, but I know just enough to tell it was coming since he had talked about putting the plane

A buddy does this.  Not sure what the membership cost, but it’s $100//hr plus fuel to rent a Cessna 172.  Not too bad when you consider all the costs mentioned above.  I’ve been up with him once (he doesn’t live local to me) and it’s a fun experience.  He put it in a stall, which is really cool to experience the plane

I’d say you’re more conservative/classical liberal than you realize. Not modern capital C/GOPe, since they love big government almost as much as the Progressive Left.

Self-preservation does not equal self-centered. That shows up anytime you dig into charity donations and volunteerism, it definitely skews to greater conservative participation than liberal participation.

CP  Now, if they added a Mexican flag and had USMCA plates, it’d be NP all day long.

Dirtbike, not rickshaw. A good friend is living that life right now. 5 minutes from the beach on the Pacific side. He has a dirtbike and the wife has a side by side.

Interesting how you equate conservative beliefs with being self-centered. Maybe, just maybe, the saying “with age comes wisdom” has some validity to it that is greatly discounted by the youths because they haven’t been there, done that.

I’m sure they’re very curious.  As mentioned in the article, UPS does not let these get out into the general public at all.

Considering this started as a regular UPS truck with a title, that poses a problem. If it was a custom build from the ground up to look like a UPS truck, then it would probably be OK assuming UPS didn’t fight it on copywrite/trademark grounds.

Explain to me how a teacher’s guaranteed pension payment every month doesn’t count as income. How is that “fixed income” any different than my “fixed income” from my salaried job? My salaried job is less secure than that pension plan, I can get laid off or quit to seek opportunities elsewhere, that retirement income

If you have $20 million, you take a couple mill and put it in an annuity to generate that fixed income or just pay cash. You’re not saying anything that goes against my initial point that retirement is a financial status, not an age. The bigger issue is how poorly the average American is educated on this subject. And

Again, right back to my original point. You retire when your retirement income level allows you to live the lifestyle you want, not when you hit a specific age. Fixed income doesn’t mean lack of income. If you plan for retirement and work long enough, between personal investments, SS, 401(k), and pension (if offered),

If she can afford to retire, the retirement income should be enough where it won’t affect the loan rate. If retiring does affect the loan rate, then she’s not ready to retire.

With regards to the retiring car buyer, retirement is a financial status, not an age. If retiring significantly affects your ability to buy a car, then maybe you’re not ready to retire.

CP When you can score a clean E55 with less than 80K miles for low to mid teens, I’m not buying one with 155k miles and some other issues for over $8k

130kph is 80mph, that’s 16kph/10mph faster than the max limit in my state. IMHO, having learned to drive in the 55mph era, the bump to 65, then 70 was amazing. I honestly am OK if we don’t go up to 80, but if we did, I’m not gonna complain.
