God damn that RS6 Avant is cool looking.

I’m right there with you as a fellow rust belt resident.  Every DD I’ve moved on from has been do to rust related issues.  Every try replacing a steering rack on vehicle that has seen 12 winters?  You only do that if you have no other option.  Once you can afford to avoid that kind of shit, you most definitely do!

I had it’s big brother, the BW350. It was awesome in the winter. So much fun blasting through snow drifts and once you got some speed up, it would stay on top of loose snow, but it was challenge to get back on top if you came to a stop and the back dug in.  It was horrible in mud though, at least the Ohio clay

So I checked out Slot Mods website.  Yeah, if I ever hit the lottery, I know what I’m putting in my garage-mahal that I’m gonna build.

Mate, I don’t want to be the one to break it to you, but the whole making a lithium battery thing? Really, really bad for the environment.  Like, pretty much offsets the environmental gain by not burning gasoline once the car hits road.

The day I heard one with an aftermarket exhaust I got chills.  Holy shitballs did it sound amazing!

Yeah, lots of bumps and bruises and the occasional knee or collarbone with dirtbikes, whereas on the street it’s either nothing or pretty freaking bad. In the woods, you’re in complete control and not at the mercy of someone who isn’t paying attention. Of course, the big incident she likes to remind me of is a couple

I gotta get the wife on board. She’s OK with the 3 dirtbikes I have and that I spend 30+ weekends a year riding and racing, but she’s dead set against a streetbike.  “She knows too many people hurt or killed on the street”

One of these days I’m getting me a ‘Wing and disappearing for a couple weeks as I explore back roads and small, out-of-the-way towns.  Hopefully I don’t have to wait until I’m in my 60's or 70's.

1965-1980, so at ‘75 that puts me in the youngest third. Therefore, my experiences would be pretty representative.

I’m a younger Gen X (born in ‘75). Ripping CDs was not something I saw until after college. Hell, it was big money to buy a portable CD player. I had to wait until I got high school graduation $$$ in the summer of ‘93 for that to happen. I did use an adapter prior to that. The drive motor in the factory cassette

I’ve been around it all my life. Some of my earliest memories are of watching dad race motocross and harescrambles on his Kawasaki KDX175 in the early 80's Of course, we also watched any form of racing we could find on TV. Dad caught the bug from his dad. Grandpa was an independent mechanic who worked on his buddies

This is just a wild ass guess, but if Uber focused strictly on ride sharing, they probably could pay the drivers enough to avoid all the labor issues they’re facing and still under cut the cab companies. This would have allowed them to make real good money for the next 10-15 years and ride off into the sunset with

1st Gear:  Am I the only one who thinks if Uber had just focused on it’s ride sharing ap it could be printing money?  Seriously, how many people would it take to just focus on that and be very profitable while riding out the wave until automation takes over?  Instead, they are dumping enormous amounts of money

Yeah. the CUV coupe is the worst of all. At least with a traditional SUV you have the rear seat headroom and storage space. The X4 I test drove felt plenty peppy, but I’m used to driving my F150 and her Corolla, so my baseline is pretty low lol If I had my way, we’d pick up an Audi A6. Plenty of ‘16s and ‘17s to be

It amazes me that Andrew Craig and CART get a free pass.  If Craig wasn’t completely boning CART with his goal of competing directly with F1, there wouldn’t have been the opportunity for Tony George to split off.

You obviously haven’t met my wife lol We’re looking at new vehicles and she likes the BMW X4 and M-B GLC coupe the best. Ughh. Fortunately, there are no GLC Coupes in our price-point (we’re buying used), but there are a couple X4s. I think I have her just about convinced that if she wants an SUV, get a regular SUV and

I hear ya. Good thing I’ll never have the money where I have to make the decision lol

Why? 99.99% of the time will be spent doing something other than 0-60 rips and 1/4 mile drags. Build quality is much more important than a tenth here, 4 tenths there. Now, is the Porsche worth the extra money?  Hell if I know.
