Maybe it’s just me, but I kind of loved that the Immortal Iron Fist, the world’s greatest martial artist, trained for years, was beaten up by just about everybody else in The Defenders.

I found it cruel.

Looking through the standards, I can’t argue with any of them. Basically they’re doing away with anything that’s too intrusive or that blocks content without an immediate way to get rid of it. Works for me.

I did enjoy the fact that in Defenders just about all of them can beat Danny up. The Iron Fist, the man trained to be the greatest martial artist in the world, gets beat to hell repeatedly by a random assortment of heroes in NYC.

The new “Welcome to Night Vale” novel is out in October.

And another:

I am both pleased and absolutely terrified that no one has said Tyrion at all. Which means he’s bulletproof, or he’s the shocking death no one will expect.

Thr round-key one is showing $59 .99 for me. Something change, or am I missing a coupon code somewhere?

BORING

I can’t wait to see a pissed-off David Tennant, on fire.

Drogon actually sniffed him first, then let Jon touch him. Apparently, Targaryens have a scent.

I saw Danys giving Jon what he needed so quickly because she’s just taken some huge hits in her plans and frankly, she doesn’t have time to play with him right now. This keeps him busy and doing something besides moping, and she can still continue to negotiate with him later.

There’s a great discussion going on the in the American Gods subreddit where various speakers of modern and ancient Irish are arguing this out. Latest version (from ThatBmanGuy) is something like: “Haven’t I believed enough in your bullshit? Haven’t I suffered enough? Isn’t that enough itself? I’m not evil! I’m not!”

Which is nice, I guess, except I don’t particularly care if there’s a mens-only screening of any movie. I don’t care about any targeted event showings or meetings or events when they are a one-shot surrounded by thousands of showings that are not. This is distinctly different from, say, mens-only clubs or whites-only

Pretty sure the whole point of this article as well as half the feminist comments were to make a certain kind of man feel bad, i.e. the kind of man who sees a single women’s only event focusing on a character who has been a feminist icon for decades as a threat to the same sort of civil rights they never really cared

There is no franchise and never was. Just “Pirates of the Caribbean,” a nearly perfect movie that needed no sequels.

This this this. Ideally it’ll end with Spider-Man in the classic suit, no StarkTech at all.

If it’s the scene I’m thinking about, they even foreshadowed it a bit in this ep.

I have not! But good to hear.

Trickier to show an engorged vulva, although they did include a celestial one.
