Forecast for tomorrow: Strong Winds and chances of HAIL

I think I'm the only person who doesn't really, really like this game. The mechanics are fun and all but I dont like playing against other people. I would be happier if there was more of a "campaign" mode to it

So are these all the companions? I think I read somewhere that there are 9 in total. That Grey Warden to the right looks a lot like Duncan, which is impossible.....but still.

At the very least, they've nailed the box art. So much detail in there, and the dragon in the negative space is a fantastic touch. I'm cautiously optimistic about this one. Third time lucky, right? (Yep, I wasn't a big fan of Origins)

Did the droid say "what the fuck" when he came through he door?

Also, not even "funny".

I think we should all just fill this post with Jar Jar pics. Just to teach Charlie Jane a lesson.

Meanwhile Fox is developing Jung Justice.

Proof that 30 Rock was not a satire but a devastatingly accurate representation of how NBC works.

It hardly seems worth the trip. If I am going somewhere to lose weight, it'll be the moon.

SLOW DOWN TUBBY! You're not on the moon yet!

IMO the problem started with the joke itself, but then escalated when they issued a joke apology. They could have easily said, "Hey, this offended some of you guys, and we're sorry. We're not taking it down, but we acknowledge that the joke was in somewhat poor taste, and we will move on, keeping that in our minds

Money doesn't make things just appear, they used that money to hire a bunch of people to work on the game. However the game development is what Chris is calling "open source" which means that he is showing the developing of the game while it is still being developed. The footage you just saw isn't a beta code, or even

Looking at the creators pedigree this seems to be a game that breaks the mold of the simple 18 month to 2 year development cycle adopted by so many triple A studios. I think this will take a long time to complete and evolve but the wait will be worthwhile, even if it takes 3-4 years (including evolution post release)

Just you.

I had hoped some of the news coverage would at least give a nod to the fact that this is an unprecedented thing in game development- a studio showing the real deal, warts and all, and saying "this is what it looks like, here's what we're working on, here's some cool things", as opposed to some pre-built shiny thing
