Anyone who pays attention and doesn't just listen to the Fox News crowd would see that Obama and the Senate have done nothing but negotiate with the GOP for the last 5 years.

"And then I told them we were negotiating a fair deal for Americans!"

Jaffa tactics are designed more to shock, intimidate and overwhelm their foes into submission, rather than actually being effective military stategies. Plus, their primary weapons are incredibly inaccurate, as demonstrated here. They were literally born and bred to be cannon fodder.

At this point, it's pretty clear that the Hobbit movies aren't so much a Tolkien adaptation as they are Peter Jackson's Middle Earth Adventures.

The fact that the singer in the scene is Alan Doyle, the lead singer of Great Big Sea, a band which started out modernizing old Irish, Scottish, English, and Canadian folk tunes, is icing on the cake. I'm a contractor. This is my life. Not minimum wage, but scouring Craigslist for project announcements, panicked resume submittals hoping no one else saw the ad yet, hoping for a day or week or month of work, hours almost always less than promised - it's not a terrific way to live. And it's becoming more common.
