We’re talking about trucks though, Ford’s bread and butter. There cash cows. In the rest of the world Ranger is second in sales only to Hilux. They won’t let Ranger whither on the vine.

The Global Ranger coming just means whatever the rest of the world has in 2019 is coming. While maybe not really all new, but I’d expect significant improvements like the typical stiffer frame/structure, powertrain upgrades, suspension tweaks, plus new styling. Enough changes that if it were a Toyota, it would be…
I don’t know that this is too valuable in determining anything about the 2019 Ranger. Maybe if the 2016 Ranger was new for 2016, but it’s not. It is in its 7th model year right now. Ford is usually pretty serious about their trucks. I really doubt come 2019 they will be dumping a nearly decade old platform into…
The VA for years (decades?) has administratively granted entitlement to veterans discharged based on homosexuality. The VA isn’t always bound by militaries discharge criteria. That said, I’m sure many don’t know this and dont bother applying for benefits assuming they are not eligible.
and don’t forget a cute little hat to match the dress.
Give it a couple weeks and we will revisit this.
No, completely different category. Juke - smaller than Rogue and hideously ugly. Rogue Sport - smaller than Rouge but and aggressively bland.
Maybe this is just a ploy to get Trump to throw money at them?
I had to read that sentence in the article twice as I assumed I read it wrong. It sounds like the same lineup they have had for nearly the last decade.
A BOF 4x4 is really a distinct market from what the CUV Explorer operates in. Eating into Expedition market is a more plausible argument. Of course, that is also a good argument for not bringing the Ranger back too.
I don’t think there is any question that the Bronco will be based on the Ranger chassis. It is a question about how hardcore they go. I suspect it is exactly like the FJ/4Runner business model.
I seem to remember reading in one of the previous announcements about the Ranger/Bronco that there was a mention of a 3rd product in the planned factory. It makes sense that the third product would be an Everest offshoot that would be more directly aimed at the 4Runner.
These have been on life-support since birth. I’m only surprised that they have kept it going so long before pulling the plug. I’m not sure if there is any truth to it, but I understand that GM USA had a contractual agreement with GM Australia to purchase X number of cars from Australia. Apparently there was no time…
I would actually say this is the opposite of conservatively handsome. I suppose this dramatic, swept-back styling might work on a something smaller and with more sporting pretentions, but on what is supposed to be a large, conservative car, I think it looks absurd.
This is also the engine Puegoet is using in their 3008DKR racecar that won Dakar last year and is running 1-2-3 at the halfway point this year.
At least Nasser still managed to drive his Hilux out of the desert - on 3 wheels and with the navigator as a counterweight.
My contribution to the history of this game - your beer would freeze before you could finish it if you didn’t drink it all right away.
I’m in the picture. Really. I’m right above the “on” in the “NFL on Fox” banner.
