a locker or spool isn't really critical for Baja, especially considering it has 4we (at least I think it does). It isn't rock crawling, it is a momentum game. Most racers are 2wd and a lot of those have open diffs (the ones with transaxles).

Power locks with remote locking. I'd have a hard time going back to sticking a key in a lock. Similarly, I like power windows. Too hard to lean over while driving to crank passenger/rear windows up and down. I could (and have) deal with no a/c as I live in the upper Midwest (but still would much rather have it).
4x4 crew cab:
that blocks long crater looks like something out of a cheesy post-apocalyptic movie. What a mess.
I don't know. I "came of age" in this era and at the time, if given the choice of the cars listed and a Camry, me and my friends would never choose the Camry. Growing up in a small town America meant our entertainment was usually screwing around in cars. GM H-Bodies performed well by malaise era standards - they…
when I heard Volvo and engine swap, I think cheap. I assumed V10 Ford. V10 BMW M engines are unobtanium in reality making this less interesting to me.
From a consumer point of view, what does it matter if it is a class 3 or class 4? If I want a pickup that can tow several shit tons, I don't think I care what class they label it as.
It will be intersting to see how many Silverado/Sierra buyers they lose to these smaller trucks.
kind of scary, but imagine the guys in the boat in the distance here:
and here is some aerial Bombay video as well
add 200lbs for 4wd as the Fords are above, also add some weight for a comparably spec'd truck as a Lariet, then add some more weight for the 5.3 to have a apple/apples performance/capability comparison.
Further, is Ford not allowed to compare the 2.7l to anything because it didn't exist before? That seems to be the arguement here.
In almost every build variation shown on Ford's spec sheets, the 5.0 is lighter than the 3.5eb. The 3.7 is lighter still, but not offered in the Crew Cab 4x4. They are just trying to show us what you can get in 2015 that you couldn't in 2014.
According to Ford's published specs, the 5.0 is the lightest available 2014 crew cab 4x4 w/5.5ft bed. Presumably the 2.7 is the lightest 2015 version of that. Seems like apples/apples.
I think it is a small block Ford based on the exhaust layout, size of the valve covers and distributor position.
Find out what they are doing to set up a pavement racer for dirt.
This is the slickest Rockford turn I found.
I wouldn't say no one. There is an (dis)information shit storm going on.
