The Silk Way had been growing, but then stupid shit happens. I don't know that it is an indicator or anything about off road racing as a whole though. Dakar is getting bigger every year. Rally raids in the middle east are attracting more talent every (the Qatar Sealine Cross Country rally is going on as we type).

I assume the militia will be here soon to stand up for these patriots.

I'm not sure were the Contour hate is coming from. The first new car I ever bought was a '98 Contour with a V6 and 5speed. It was a great driving car, and for me at least, I still think they are a rather handsome car. The interior wasn't spectacular by today's standards, but at worst, it was average for the day. I

I did burnouts at my wedding. I had a Fox body Mustang. I have a photo of my wife in her wedding dress, standing with her hand on the rear decklid, in a cloud of smoke.

C1 based is what I heard also, but they dumped the nice independent rear suspension of the C1 Focus and went with a cheaper twist beam rear axle for the Escort - based on photos.

just because the order guide calls it the Ecoboost performance package doesn't mean it will be named "The Ecooboost Perormance Package." The guide just has to describe it somehow to be identifiable.

35s fit on the previous PW without any modifications. Maybe they consider the stock tires just placeholders, though I agree the Duratracs are a solid tire choice.

family of six you say? Sounds like someone I know. So a front bench is available? Raptor only comes with buckets and a console.

I'm sure they do very similar testing. But how do they look in these tests? They may not want to show you how they react.

I am going NP on this. This isn't just a bolt on turbo setup. The engine appears to have been built to support forced induction with forged internals. The heads and intake have also been gone over. It sounds like a relatively reliable setup. With 113 mph trap speeds it will certainly surprise and embarrass a lot

I always have trouble finding a suitable lift point for a hi-lift jack. Who'da thought you could get one to work with a Tesla. Innovative!

I wonder if Teslas will throw sparks now like '80s F1 cars.

Just to clarify a bit about the "marathon stages." Mechanical repairs can be done in the bivy on these stages, but all work must be done by the competitors and they must only use parts they bring along with them.

I agree. Mixing bikes/quads with cars/trucks has always been a big concern in off road racing. SCORE last year added some alternate routes for the B1k in order to keep the bikes from getting caught by the faster trucks. Not that a car getting hit by a Kamaz would be a good thing (it happened in 2013 and the Kamaz

Sainz and Despres showed up at the Dakar press conference driving in the vintage yellow Dakar 405. I thought that was pretty cool.

Not only has Gadson experimented with bodywork on the G Force car, he has been trying different powertrains. Last year he ran an LS7 and also tried a Viper V10. He hasn't been overly successful, but it is interesting.

That he is not a tin-foiler is good to know. It helps separate the wheat from the chaff. There is a lot of bad info out there.

So since Gawker weather guy and Gawker plane guy are together here, what do you think of this guy's contrails theory. I'm all for examining CTs.

The P8 also has aerial refueling capability enabling it to stay over its work area for extended periods.
