This is a facelift. The all new, likely 2015 F150 based, is supposed to be coming in 2017. This is just a refresh until that arrives. It's not great, but I would say it is a huge improvement over the current one.

Labor costs might be an issue if they were planning to build a B-Sized car for entry level dollars. But trucks/SUVs typically have nice profit margins and make it realistic to build them with labor costs that are above third world levels.
