That is true but the gap between the regular Vette and the Z06 was a bit narrower then IIRC. All I’m saying is this would be a nice opportunity for Chevy to position a car between the Stingray and the Z06 with more power and handling.

Well the last-gen Grand Sport did the same thing, did it not? All the fun bits of the Z06 with a touch less power? And if I remember right most reviews were “Get the GS because you won’t miss the extra 70 hp unless you’re lapping Seca every weekend.”

Think of it this way, the real enthusiasts are not the ones who will be buying these cars, but rather the people involved in designing and making them, and I’m pretty sure they’ve enjoyed them very much already. The actual building and selling is just the way to pay the bills.
