I really hope they make this. I’ve driven an M235xi and my friend’s ZF 8 speed rwd 328i, and I keep saying that the 2.oT/8 speed auto is a great powertrain, and the 2 series is the right size, but my next car will need four doors. While I’d love for my next car to be a manual M2 Gran Coupe or ATS-V sedan, a 228i Gran

I can’t speak for the Fiesta in particular, but I wouldn’t be all that worried about the quality of the domestics these days. The interior surfaces in my Camaro have the suppleness of granite, and despite riding on triple the factory spring rate with increased damping and shorter, stiffer sidewalls, it’s had almost no

You caught somebody having a bad day. I’ve heard about people getting tickets for 4-5 mph over from small town cops, but I regularly do 6-8 mph past troopers on the highway, and the one who pulled me over for 15 over let me off with a warning.

*Clicks on story*

It could also mean that they’re the original “factory” wheels, which the owner had anodized after they purchased it. If I took my stock wheels and had them powdercoated black, you could say I have the factory wheels in a gloss black powdercoating.

If you look at the angle Thunder posted, there’s a gap between the passenger compartment and this piece as it descends to the trunk. I believe that qualifies it as a flying buttress, irregardless of the fact that it curves over to form a second channel over the tail light.

Their shared use of flying buttresses behind the cabin, LED running lights, and wheels that are round do suggest some serious collaboration.

I like pretty much everything about these, except the price tag. In about three years, the financial stars should align for me to be able to afford something in this range, and while I really like this as a package, an ATS-V sedan, with an extra ~100 hp, manual, fantastic chassis, and minuscule back seat would be

Even that doesn’t always happen. I met a group of friends down at the Corvette Museum track for a track day on Saturday, and rode along (didn’t get to drive my car, no $$$) with two friends who also instruct, and one of them owns a C7 Z06. It was only in the 50s on Saturday, but he had no problem running full 20

The GT is a bargain as far hp/dollar is concerned, but the GT350 is a track weapon and a bargain compared to cars that are equally satisfying and fast on track. When you consider that the engine and, most of the body work are new in addition to the suspension, brakes, wheels and diff, and that there are a lot fewer

Well by that logic, what’s a Ford GT worth? $70K? Should the Corvette top out at $50-60K? Just because a company also makes cheap cars doesn’t mean they all have to be cheap.

I know I like the idea of the performance and tactility more than the look. While I always found the 1 series to be a little awkwardly proportioned, I think the 2series nailed the styling. 1Series M mechanicals in a M235i would be perfect for me.

I’ve had one as my only car and daily driven it for more than sixteen months now, so that might be a bit of a stretch. Intimidating at first? Sure, but not useless.

“...those of us who stopped maturing at age 15.”

I really like pretty much all of those color combinations. It’s a shame most of them will be wrapped in gold or chrome to be idled around in, or wrapped in cellophane and hidden away.

Typically I’m not a fan either, but sometimes it can grow on you. I planned on removing the stripes from my Camaro after I got it, but after I put aftermarket wheels on it, I grew to appreciate the contrast the stripes provide.

I’m with you on that. I’m in WV, where we get substantial snow maybe half a dozen times every winter, but it does get very cold. Once I got a rwd car, I started running ice and snow tires for the cold months, and summer tires the rest of the time. However, the madness is setting in, and now I have snow tires for

I’m really bitter that I can’t buy one of these. I’m still two years away from taking my PE, and I’m single with no roommate, so between my E.I. grade salary and bills, I just can’t afford a new ~$45K car. If, by some miracle, GM decides to make a new Generation Commodore to send to Australia and we also get it,

it’s definitely possible to bend steel line by hand, but the NiCopp is significantly easier to work with.

NiCopp is amazing stuff. It's not as cheap as steel line, but being able to bend it by hand? Priceless.
