I totally agree. Every car has it's quirks, and I think that every car has a "soul," particularly if you own it. A lot of people will point to older cars that were turds, and say, well, it was a mechanical, un-insulated turd that was loud and wanted to kill me, therefore it has a soul. Do a lot of older cars have

Nice Price! I would absolutely fix the mechanical bits, and then drive it every day.

Obviously, there's a lot of debate about whether or not the Z06 and ZR1 are going to be combined into one model or not, and what engines they'll use. Well, here's a thought: Motortrend did an interview with the head Camaro engineer not too long ago, where he said that the Z28 would be the last car the LS7 would be

Quick! Someone call Chris Harris!

Wow! I wonder why they have so many different procedures.

There's a Celica in my SCCA region, and I believe the only modifications are to the suspension (coilovers and sway bars, etc) The thing is wicked, and this past month beat C5 Z06s and WRXs through the cones. Deceptively quick indeed.

OK, so I suppose my system is direct then. My procedure is like you said, I hold the lock/unlock buttons on the key fob for 5 seconds with the key in the on position.

So your beef with the C7 is that the base model isn't a stripped out track car? GM fixed the problems that most people had with the car, and kept it cheap, and the consequence of that is added weight. GM could make the car you want, but most buyers want the car with the features you don't, and it can't include those

Yep, it's a Chevy. If the system on my car qualifies as an indirect system, what is a direct system?

Were there no lights on the road you were crossing? If there were streetlights, I don't care if it's a small, flat black car with no chrome or anything reflective on it, you should still be able to pick up movement if you look well. Also, how do you deal with two-way stops?

At least on my car, you need zero equipment to reset the TPMS. The procedure is laid out in the owner's manual.

You're lucky, I'm about to change my transmission fluid/filter and I'm looking at ~$70 for materials.

Aww yeah! Was right after all.

Hm, I thought there was a trim of the Fusion that offered AWD. I'm probably wrong, I don't pay a lot of attention to the mid-size sedan segment.

Yes! I want that Cougar, by the way.

Truth. I can think of one person I know who knew what the Grand-Am racing series was when I mentioned it.

Yeah, I was primarily thinking of the ATS and CTS, which currently are unique, and while the others certainly are similar to Chevrolet models, you can particularly with the XTS, get things like the TT 3.6, magnetic ride, Brembos, diferent interior options, etc. The only things Lincoln can offer you are a V6 and

If I were Cadillac, I would totally make an ad to make fun of this right now.

While I totally agree with you, I think renting a car depends on where you live. Around here, rental fleets are small, and probably won't have what you're looking for, particularly as an enthusiast. I will agree though, I rented a car for a few days, and it told me more about the car than a single test drive would

Indeed. I think Mr. Ballaban needs to start making that throne...
