If it was really Michael Bay's wet dream, Yoshi would be like:

Actually, they make seating uncomfortable in fast food to prevent loitering. Whereas, in finer restaurants, the chairs are more comfortable because the longer you're there, the more you'll purchase (wine, dessert, after dinner drink). Tips will increase exponentially, too.

This is my current one. 2001: A Space Odyssey.

Got these on Amazon recently. 3000 reviews at 4 stars. They work really well and double as a headset for phone calls. Only downside is that you look a little like that robot looking dude from Cloud City in Empire but the battery lasts for a really long time and charges on mini-USB.

Just make sure if you do post an ad with your 'ideal' roommate that you not break any laws in doing so. You cannot post discriminatory ads!

You know what they say: "the future ain't what it used to be..."

Two things: one, the point about different purposes makes a lot of sense. In particular, Twitter built its entire platform on short text-based broadcasts, so the artificial limitation of Vine felt like a natural extension. Instagram's makes a little less sense, but if it's trying to occupy the same space, I guess it

The differences are small, but I think Vine is better designed for capturing moments. The 6 second limit coupled with the looping makes it like a high quality animated GIF, so you can kind of make little portraits of events. It's more in competition with Instagram pictures than Instagram video.

A FREE place to get materials, tools, etc. is Freecycle.org. It is International and you enter your zip code and post what you want. Follow the groups rules for your area. Also a great way to get rid of unwanted/unneeded items too!

Good advice, but sometimes you just can't afford the best. But those times you have to go cheap, don't get the cheapest one. Get the SECOND cheapest one. It's usually that little bit better that it's not a bad buy.

This looks like the most peaceful desk on the planet, kitty included.

As you said, the rules should be taken with a grain of salt. They are general guidelines to avoid sickening combinations, but they can often be bent to produce an interesting result.

It looks like there's a set of drawers underneath, and my guess is that everything was shoved in there just before the picture was taken. :D

I am actually super messy but have a similar setup for my workstation. I've found that the more minimal my desk is the less likely I am to litter it with paper and clutter. In a weird way it keeps me from making a mess on my desk because even 1 item out of place stands out.
