BF:V got me with this last night. Download finished, i opened the game to hop into some multiplayer with friends, and that’s when i find out it only downloaded the single player missions and the other 2/3 of the game were still in progress.

Japanese developers at least get the benefit of coming from an industry that was historically focused on console development, where you knew exactly what the hardware was going to do and how fast it was gonna work. It’s not an excuse for poor ports like the original Dark Souls, but there is at least a reason for it.

It’s basically the first game, where everything started, so you should be fine. The only other game in the series that take place before it chronologically is Yakuza 0, and that’s supposed to be played after you played Kiwami, IMO.
