* $2.00 ferry (on off peak hours) to Governor’s Island (leaves from same terminal area as Staten Island Ferry). Go in the warmer months for the fields of local plants, old restored fort, and the pop up beer garden, plus very cool views of lower Manhattan, The Statue of Liberty, and Ellis Island. You

Yeah I had a boss for a part time job in high school who screamed at me over the phone because I called out sick on a Sunday morning. He screamed at me then hung up on me. I waited an hour, called back, and he said “so are you coming in?” And I said, “Nope, I quit.” 

Sick days should be separate from vacation/personal days. You don’t CHOOSE to be sick, right?

Or a gift certificate to a place where they can try a flight in order to sample different ones. The Whiskey Ward in NYC, for example, is great for that. :)
