...and I couldn’t be happier.
...and I couldn’t be happier.
So... my annual check in at io9 is prompted, of course, by the death of Jerry Doyle. Another sad day in 2016, a year populated with deaths both personal and public related to many of us.
Wow! Where do i start? SPOILERS for various genre shows and movies below...
4 episodes aired before I realized it! I’ve watched 3. The photo is a minor spoiler (so you know at least these guys survived) but these were promos shots so cat was already out of the bag here...
It’s here, it’s on-line you can watch it now! And...
I went back and (drunkenly) watched Highlander:Endgame a few weeks ago. I have to say, of the post-series Highlander movies, that one was probably the best, even though the big-bad is completely over-the-top (but great in the flashbacks with Connor). It made me want to go back and re-watch some of the series,…
io9, it’s been a fun ride, but this is no longer the place for the likes of me. I know Gawker/Kinja doesn’t delete accounts, but this one is going to go dormant and collect dust, and that’s fine with me.
Doctor Who’s 7th Doctor (and Radagast the Brown from The Hobbit film trilogy) was recently interviewed and asked the same question every former surviving Doctor, Companion, and overall former cast member of past Doctor Who series has been asked: what do you think of the idea of The Doctor regenerating into a woman? He…
Wish I’d thought of this on my own, but at least I got to make a meme out of it. Somebody over at the 501st Legion came up with the actual quote. LOL!
Summer used to be a TV series wasteland. Not anymore, though! Between NetFlix, cable stations, and even network TV, series are premiering new seasons in June and July! As such, what currently-running series seasons are you watching? Going for, let’s say, a Top 3 list.
...and the web marketing is funny, clever... and a wee bit disturbing.
Happy Wednesday! Humpity hump day, as it were. Here’s a little Firefly/Serenity humor for you:
Ugh. (SPOILERS AHOY AFTER THE BREAK)
With the pending arrival of Star Wars: The Fore Awakens at the end of this year, I’ve been pondering just how much Star Wars has influenced pop culture in the past 40 years. One area that has had a field day with the Star Wars platform is comedy. SNL, movies, you name it: so many have taken a crack at poking fun at…
Get ready for the best thing you’ll see all day, people!
OK, this is mainly Rufus talking about being a DW fanboy (which is cool by itself) but we get some footage of the table read for the two-part episode that will guest star Maisie Williams (Arya Stark from Game of Thrones) this season.
I guarantee Cersei will be swigging wine from a goblet at some point... and likely being verbally scathing as well.
As I posted about a few weeks ago, I attended a great new (albeit small) Doctor Who Con north of my hometown of Baltimore, MD. This was their first one ever of this particular con, and it was fun to be in 'on the ground floor' so to speak.
Let's the comments begin! Some will dig it, some will not, if the last posts I did about this are any indication.
I don't think io9 has posted this, but I love it! Kudos to Seth Meyers and co. for a fun sketch idea! And Kit Harrington plays the part brilliantly.
