if you're going to parody anime's obsession with little girl tits, you're probably not going to do it by displaying little anime girl tits for hours
Spot on. It's not subversive, it's a knowing celebration.
yeah uhh I played Neptunia and I tried to see past the fanservice with an open mind. all i could find was a pile of garbage.
it's not a deconstruction if you're not deconstructing anything.
I saw it in the cinema with my dad when I was 14, expecting something along the lines of Ghost in the Shell. We were both shocked, but I was so impressed.
Incredible, right? Among other arresting themes and heartbreaking scenes, Paranoia Agnet was like Azuma Hiroki's theories on database consumption and moe come to life with a loving wink and elbow-to-the-ribs towards otaku. The RPG episode...
Rest in Peace you wonderful man. You never made anything that was short of stellar.
OOPS I PICKED PRETEENS
you know exactly what i mean, and these screenshots demonstrate my point.
True, but there's always eBay/Amazon seller marketplace to snag a good deal.
Fun for awhile, but you'll be pissed if you buy it full-price. Everybody should own at least one Warriors game, but nobody should pay more than £10 for one. They usually drop in price pretty quickly.
It looks SO HYPE, I agree, but will it stand the test of time? The common complaint about Dynasty Warriors games are their repetitive nature and mindless button-mashing. Critics have said this about every entry and spin-off, even the visually-stunning One Piece and Fist of the North Star games. Will Hyrule Warriors be…
Same development house handled both series. No surprises there!
I never really got the supposed parody element of these games. It never seemed to push harder than "This character's named Nippon Ichi, this character's named Idea Factory, this is their friend Falcom! They all have big tits."
Maaaaan. Who moves in with a partner after 4 months?
Oh Japan.
I thought it was OK, a neat change of pace the first time round. It wasn't particularly groundbreaking but it was the first time we saw anything like that in Final Fantasy. I didn't go back and play it at the Golden Saucer or anything, but I appreciated how FF7 tried a bunch of weird mini-games.
I've got zero interest…
Not at all. As Jason said, it's a lot like Lunar in the way that enemies and characters move around the battlefield, but it's not like a strategy game. An interesting touch is the ability to activate special attacks to interrupt enemy actions. A liiiiittle bit like Grandia, but not quite.
This is Ys' sister series. If you like Ys, you'll like Legend of Heroes. Falcom put a lot of love into their world building.
It's Steam, everybody can play it!
