It absolutely is. She doesn’t have the privilege of deciding not to take a call from the guy who is going to be the chief diplomat of the United States—a position she once held. The department has been dismantled over the last 15 months. If called on for advice, it is absurd that anybody would expect (let alone want)

But the larger point: Why is Clinton even taking a call from such a monstrous person?

As much as I look forward to this asshole’s demise, the pearl-clutching by republicans is only about appearances. Otherwise they would be investigating the grifter-in-chief, himself.

He didn’t just continue them — he conducted ten times as many drone strikes in his first year alone as Bush did during his entire presidency. Trump, of course, is doing his best to beat those numbers.

The Obama administration was wrong in continuing the illegal drone strikes started by Bush. This was a lost opportunity to reinforce the moral high ground that some Americans think we have. The result has been more torture and murder with a known lying criminal like Trump. War crimes need to be prosecuted.

Everyone in Asheville knows who that ex-cop is. It’s one of the more progressive cities in North Carolina and there is a lot of talk about giving that guy the ass-whoopin’ he deserves. I suspect it’s only a matter of time. If he was smart, he’d move. But he’s not smart. (And now he has a criminal court case coming

This poor man had just worked an 11 hour shift at Cracker Barrel. He was cutting across an empty parking lot of a closed building, not jay walking across the street. The policeman, who had harassed him before, said, “I’ll show him who’s boss” and called him “Boy”. The police sat on it for a year and did nothing until

Whatever it was it wasn’t enough

There’s no athlete I like more who I feel less defensive of when other people hate him. “Yeah, fair.”

Five years of prison sounds insane for a non-violent, unintentional crime, even if she had a prior conviction.

Everybody knows that is was because of Carvey Winecheese.

Not accusing this piece of doing so, but I’m tired of the attempt (paticularly the Nuzzi piece in NY Mag) to make a thing of Hicks’s mystery and penchant for opaqueness. I’d much prefer to spend less time puzzling over Hicks the black box and more time focusing on what’s there on the surface: that she has willingly
