I had no interest in the game, but then I went through all those boyfriends and there are some hilarious hobbies. Making pickles! Drinking sake! Sleeping! “Collecting triangle tapestries that are sold at tourist destination”!

I never knew I wanted to spend money on cardboard dicks before. Bookmarking for the future!
Those sound good. For Tyrael they could even do something like have a shield that absorbs X damage and when broken it does an AoE damage burst for the same amount (or a percentage of the damage absorbed) to keep it in the spirit of his death trait while not being too similar to Righteousness.
It’s the same with Uther’s. Abilities that only work when you die really kind of suck. I’ve heard they’re looking into Tyrael’s ability, but what they really need to do is give both him and Uther some decent trait that works outside of death since you aren’t supposed to die.
Ugh, so true with regards to popping them like tictacs. I know someone who pops 3 or 4 at the same time (I think they’re the extra strength ones too) when he has a headache or something, and will pop more if he doesn’t feel any effects within an hour or two. I told him that he should actually read the dosage and try…
Same here. I used to take Tylenol for headaches and whatnot when I was younger, and they did practically nothing. Then I had an ibuprofen for the first time (probably wasn’t the first time but it was the first time I paid attention to it at least) and was like “so THIS is what a painkiller is supposed to do!”
And there lies another huge issue that is glossed over or ignored so often: you need upwards of 5 years of experience for entry-level jobs because companies no longer want to train people. A degree alone is rarely enough anymore. It’s rarely even “must know X, Y, and Z”, so even if you know everything but don’t have…
I’m kinda the same. I’m an older millenial and while I’d like to have a partner, it’s not something I’m going to dedicate all my time to. Maybe in the future I will prioritize it more (or at least sign up on an online dating site), but for now there are other things that take priority, like getting shit together and…
From what I’ve seen, it seems like her Kickstarter campaign was the major turning point for her becoming such a huge target. The narrative being that she scammed innocent people out of their money to fund some 100% inaccurate videos while using the rest to live the high life. After how successful that was, she is now…
Same here. At first it was like MOBA Lite and the use of talents instead of items raised my eyebrow, but now I don’t know if I’d want to go back to LoL. LoL was fun and all, but between the amount of time matches would last, last hitting (and having people get upset if you killed “their” target instead of letting them…
This is one of the main reasons why myself and my friends enjoy HotS so much, too. It doesn’t matter how bad your comp is or how much stronger the other team is, if you ignore objectives and play this like a regular MOBA (where the goal is mostly to kill/take towers) odds are you’re going to lose.
My thoughts exactly. If a show with the budget of GoT has fight choreography that is less badass than Xena (when the weapons are practically all the same), GoT fucked up.
Just another thing that occurred to me, but the manga (of which the anime is an adaption of) is also really good. The anime ends up deviating from it quite a bit, but one of the great things about the manga is how it humanizes Maria right off the bat. The anime takes its time to show that Maria is actually quite…
I was expecting some bland moe anime, but Maria ended up being tied for my favourite anime of last season. It’s so much more nuanced than anime covering this subject matter tends to be, and they never went into gratuitous violence or sexual assault. Characters were also developed instead of being a single note. I…
That would be a very interesting read. Kotaku’s done some stuff on it, but it’s few and far between (and the comments are always less than constructive). I do remember hearing that LoL is much more popular with women than DOTA2, but you don’t see that reflected in the tournaments.
I definitely agree. I’ve lost count of the number of games I’ve played where one team was getting stomped fairly hard but they ended up turning things around by playing objectives, having better coordination, and their heroes scaled extremely well. It also helps that the team that has fallen behind can see the other…
Cannot burst down Rehgar? If your team comp doesn’t have burst or CC or knows to focus on healers maybe, but against people who know what they’re doing Rehgar is just as squishy as any other support. Even if he by chance slips away, if he’s away from his teammates he’s not able to heal them.
I was really hoping that they’d do something — anything — to help the matchmaking with today’s patch. It’s so utterly broken and it amazes me they put so much priority on MMR instead of balancing teams out. There is some code in the game to do so — if you select random it will try to pick the class you don’t have —…
Some heroes sure, but others allow one to tailor their build to the map/their team/their opponent’s team. There’s a lot more nuance going than items allow (and without the “do we nerf item X and gimp Hero Y? Do we buff Hero A even though Item B will make them even more powerful?”) and certain talents will drastically…
