Too soon!

Eh? What suburbs aren't so bad? The entire area is really very spendy, especially Marin. But regardless of the direction (Peninsula, East Bay), it's nearly impossible to buy a home in a decent neighborhood for under $400,000. I suppose if you consider Vallejo or Antioch suburbs of SF, those are pretty reasonable...

At the risk of repeating myself by throwing this into nearly every Jalop discussion...

Definitely not the first time a TDI version has been offered. They've been available for years in the US New Beetle.

Caravan racing, baby!

I realize this will seem like heresy, but I kinda dig it. But then I did drive a Cooper S convertible before...

Sexy as hell...

1000 HP Escalade? Worthless as tits on a boar hog. Thing is a giant shiatbox out of the gate, and making it stupid fast is no improvement...

- 1964 Rambler Classic 660

That is epic.

This x1,000,000. Most annoying car on the road today, other than maybe a stupid Yaris S.

That made my day and has convinced me that I need a Crown Vic (or Grand Marquis since I won't be attempting the Rubicon).

A meme is born!

Somebody had to say it! My in-laws are related to Götz von Berlichingen...

I seem to recall hearing that when I lived there 18 years ago, but it hasn't been implemented nationwide - yet. Somehow I don't see it, and I also don't necessarily see this election as meaning the end of prosperity in the Laendle, but who knows. It's an eye-opener to be sure. As to the Stuttgart 21 boondoggle, I read

Not gonna happen. There is no way the Greens can push something that would be so hugely unpopular without a lot of help, and no coalition partner will go along with it. Any time such public discussions along these lines come up in Germany, there is wayyyy too much resistance to the idea.

1961 300G, Series RC4P, 413, dual quad Carter carbs, ram-induction and bad-ass fins! What's not to like?

Hmm, my last 2 rental car experiences actually convinced me to add those vehicles to the list of potential "next cars". A Grand Marquis (don't laugh - I'm 6'5"!!) and a Ford Escape (don't laugh - I'm 6'5"!!)...

They used to do this at Squaw Valley also - not sure if they still do!
