I remember when I first saw it I had never seen Butler and Bale before, I remember McConaughey from A Time To Kill and Contact, so the way he appeared in this movie, (shaved head, looking like an extra from Mad Max) was kind of a shock.

This is one of my all-time favourite movies. I watch it about every six months or so.

I saw Reign of Fire FOUR times theatrically, have seen it multiple dozens of times since, and it’s probably still my favorite film of both Bale and McConaughey.
