You my friend are wrong, just had to part with my 85 Si and it was easily the most fun car I have owned. Driven 3 different EF CRXs and while they certainly feel more modern, they also feel so much heavier. I weighed mine at the gambler once with 2 people, tools, spares, and camping gear at 2300lbs.....
why oh why did you publicize this.... I know it will probably get lots of comments, but I would like to own one of these again someday and you’re making that harder!
They were truly a different breed of engineer.
After working in a tire shop for a summer in college a few years back, My biggest takeaway was that most Michelin’s coming off of cars, (even those that look the ones in the photo above) we’re still more pliable, felt better, and look better internally than most new tires I put on.
Any Honda car built before 2000.... imagine a factory fresh CRX Si, or a new integra GSR, and don’t even get me started on early preludes....
