No.  This isn’t a theft.  It’a a robbery.  And an assault.  Thefts aren’t violent.  People don’t die in thefts.  People die in robberies.

There are a lot of options here for a prosecutor. It’s an assault. At least in my state, throwing a drink on someone is an assault IV.

Unagi is cooked.

None of the ones I mentioned.  What is your job?

I thought I was in denial. Am I back to lying? I can’t keep you straight here.

Could a place that sold only hot dogs call itself a sandwich shop?

I love it. But you see the big flaw, right? You’ve carved out several exceptions, many of which cannot be readily determined.

No. Meatloaf is not simply hamburger meat. It should have multiple meats (traditionally beef, veal, and pork) and is combined with egg, breadcrumbs, parm, and whatnot.

I don’t understand this take at all. How are you supposed to make a meatloaf sandwich without meatloaf?!?

How about this: I don’t really want to be in a position of defending Richard Spencer, so I won’t. You tell me what Richard Spencer said, and I’ll tell you if that puts him on the get punched at any time for life list.

Denial?

Do you know how many people fall into that category?

And that’s just false.  You’re an idiot.  Feel bad about that.

So do I.  But there are lots of ways to not tolerate something that don’t involve violence.

You know, people say the same thing about ISIS, and Hamas, and Israel, the KKK, and various Black Separatists groups. There are lots of groups that don’t exist peacefully. We still don’t feel obligated to assault those who support and espouse those ideologies on the streets.

I think you have the quotes around the wrong part of that.

Sure. But my concern is that if people on our side think it’s OK to punch Nazis, right wingers will look at counter protestors as potential threats. They come itching for a fight. They bring shields. They get ready to defend themselves. It just leads to more violence.

“Actively promoting” is different than simply wearing the regalia. There comes times when speech crosses the line from permissible under the 1st Amendment to impermissible. Among those are incitement to imminent lawless action, true threats, and solicitations to commit crimes. Actively promoting genocide would seem

Nothing makes a sous vide circulator more worthwhile than thick cut pork loin chops heated to 150 degrees. Then you sear in a hot pan with oil and make a nice pan sauce.

So you’re an idiot.  Got it.
