Oh, I think that monitoring is all they'd even do. Trying to affect someone else's car would be an enormous drain on resources and it's not just one other car or team you'd need to worry about so I think its next to impossible that this is even being explored.

The DRS is controlled (activated) manually by the driver, but it is over ridden by external control outside the zones permitted and during the first few laps/safety car, so it's not quite the same thing as being controlled externally (although possibly what you meant, though).

What I don't know about is how much data goes from the pits back to the car.

I disagree. Simona has been in backmarker (at best) Indycar equipment and Danica's backing has put her in top outfits all her career. No-one has done any good in a HVM car. Simona has won in various championships against good competition during her career in varying qualities of equipment. Danica has one win. Total.…

Gutierrez is actually fast and has good backing, so I doubt it will be him at this point. he's only just started to show what he is capable of in the car. This season will be more telling.

Simona is much better than Danica, and has no Venezualan links. Are you mistaking her for Milka Duno?
