I knew someone was going to say this, should’ve just put it in the first comment but -

LOL if Gigi’s hair in that photo is frizzy....

Yeah, her shiz there is the same flavor of “HOLY SHIT, WAY TOO MUCH” that I’d have been rolling if I’d had way more money (and slightly more taste) in my 20s. TBH, a lot of it is stuff I’d still do/buy now.

Gigi and Bella are both reported by everyone who meets them to be insanely down to earth considering who they are, and the Jezebel gossip column is always a bit mad they aren’t being entitled rich brats

is this partially sarcastic or do you genuinely not know she’s one of the world’s top models?

Her hair is crimped - it’s an intentional style.  She’s not my favorite, but I think these photos are beautiful.

So many people seem to be turning to The Office, whether first timers or long time fans, to get through these dark days. My daughters watched it the first time around as teens and are still watching. It’s familiar and funny and we need all we can get of that now.

There’s a HUGE difference between snark and being mean, and 99% of the time, Joan is just being mean for no reason.  Especially when people are showing emotion.

It’s worse I think. At least in the sandbox you’re dealing with a situation that requires sharing. If I have a toy that you want in the sandbox, then letting me have it means you don’t get something you want.

Hello name neighbor!

I think it’s interesting that her therapist felt the need to point out to her that she should “let people have their things.” That seems kind of “if you haven’t learned it in the sandbox, you might want to start overto me.

Not everything is for everyone of course. To me, not liking something and not inviting clapback about not liking it is all about how you don’t like it.

My partner and I have adopted “I guess that makes me the devil” while doing the devil horns from the Dinner Party every time we are nitpicking/expressing annoyance with each other. Such a fantastic episode (as is basically every episode with Jan).

That article on The Weeknd was long and well written and somehow Selena Gomez was your takeaway? You don’t read anything you comment on do you?

It’s not even shade.  It’s just passive aggressive bratty whining.

My next-door neighbor told me the other day that she has re-watched it FIVE times since the beginning of 2020. It was her favorite show before the pandemic, but now it’s just on loop as background noise as she suffers through holding down a full-time job while also going to law school full-time, all from the comfort

Exactly. It’s one of those shows where you can catch an episode randomly, turn off your brain, munch some snacks and get a chuckle or two out of it. It’s no big thing which makes it a bigger thing in the flaming hellscape we’re all trying to survive in now.

Yeah, the thing about the Office is that even if it doesn’t tick all the boxes required of 2019 shows to be deemed sanctified by the sanctimonious, it still resonates with a lot of people.

My therapist wants me to try out “letting people have their things,” so I will keep my thoughts about The Office—or Garner’s prominent Dunder Mifflin wall art—to myself.

Joan, you should not be allowed to write about The Office.
