I need to go back and read that. It came out really close to the election, and I was still feeling pretty raw about it.

I know it’s anecdotal, and therefore maybe not actually helpful, but my mom and I were close throughout my teens and are still tight today in my early twenties. I think you’re probably right that the storm would’ve already hit, so to speak :)
