Saw this a few months back. I think I was more more upset about House Hunters because it seemed like a fun semi-informational show about buying homes. Where Breaking Amish seemed like pandering crap to start with.

Just about to say that. They might has well do bingo to come up with the numbers.

I live not far from Lancaster, PA. The line " cameras purportedly followed their first experiences with electricity, cell phones, indoor plumbing, and cars" is fucking hilarious.

I would just like to say all the clothes in Zardoz are ugly. Even eventually when Zed is wearing the fucking symbolic pants and crap. Still horrifyingly ugly.

Your brother's friend is a dick bag.

Does anyone make a ballet flat that is a wide front (D) and normal sized back (C)? I want to wear some to go with dresses in the winter but I have issues with slip on shoes. Mainly, to fit the front of my foot they are to big in the back and flop up and down.

I wear maybe 2-3 different bras a week. I wash 2-3 bras every week. I also own about 10 bras. If I sweated in a bra, that would be the last time I wore before washing.

Don't most states have yearly inspections? I do in PA and when I lived in VA also.

My hair is about curly is it is going to get for a white person. It has taken me quite some time to learn just how to take care of it because there wasn't really a lot of information about curly hair around until the last few years.

I just wash mine in bra bags in the washing machine and then hang dry them. Seems a lot simpler then using a salad spinner.

I'm not sure. I do remember a couple of years ago that new more stringent rules for pedophilic materials came up (to put Japan more in like with other counties, since it has/had very relaxed rules on the matter) and it was actually tabled. I'm not sure it actually passed or not though. I really think it is cultural

Really I don't see it in a lot of American fiction, at least not the quite and same degree of age difference.

I'm not saying it isn't but the mores of other cultures can be very different from out own. I see this as one of those cases.

Like, I said this is pretty extreme but it really isn't uncommon in Asian countries (which have very different views on this kind of thing) Also this kind of thing romanticized in Asian fiction quiet often.

Pretty much what katieupsidedown said. I'd say in some cases up to 10 years age difference. You see this kind of relationship a lot in Japanese fiction a lot (a teen girl with an adult male). While, I don't think it happens as much in real life, it is something that is certainly romanticized over there.

This was the Japanese teachers dating the students. I think 15 or 16 dating 23-27 year olds?

If this was in the U.S. I'd say this is pretty shocking but in Asia I find it much less so. While this is a pretty extreme case, my friends who did the JET program in Japan said it wasn't uncommon for high school teachers to date their students.

I'm impressed, I would be screaming "Cat what do you think you are doing?!" after the second time.

Think of it as a learning experience.

My family was to poor to really give the teacher a gift every year. It was often a struggle to eat for Christmas. But even the more well off students only gave things like cookies, or apples, or apple shaped pencil holders. No, money and not stupidly expensive designer goods.
