Sounds like people are overthinking this. A few guys I’ve seen on buses doing this appear to be drunk or mentally ill. Or have impulse control issues.

There goes my summer...
Service animals are usually trained to be calm (and not react to distractions like strangers petting them when they are doing their freaking jobs). Some “emotional support animals” as BS excuses for people who want to travel with their pets.
The sun is losing mass? Like I don’t have enough to worry about already.
Total non-issue, and doubly so since the author is a white Englishman. There is nothing Asian in the sensibility that gave rise to the story that “Altered Carbon” tells.
RE: Then it hit me, it looks like Marvel took black civil rights and made it mutant hysteria.
RE: Truth is, I just didn’t see a place for them in the movie.
What Apple and every other company should do is make phones with user-replaceable batteries. Period. End of freaking issue.
The rule for modern corporations is “profits everywhere, taxes nowhere.”
The 53% number is misleading because it is lazy shorthand. We don’t have a national vote. In some states, the majority of white women voted for Hillary Clinton. And the South is obviously over-represented in the “voted for Trump” camp. Also, younger, single white women voted for Clinton. On the other side 62% of white…
Google has a problem. Whether it can successfully do whatever it is trying to do is open to question. Still, conservatives would whine about this anyway. And the conservative media outlets which whine the loudest lie the most. That’s the fact, jack.
The revelation of Rachael kind of missed the point, or it simply reinforced a point that had already been made in the original “Blade Runner.” Rachael was a person. There was no way that Deckard could have a reunion with Rachael 2.0, because he had had a life with the first Rachael. It could not even be said that this…
Nope. It’s not universal. Conservatives are more likely to believe stuff which is not true. Fox News, for example, is demonstrably a propaganda channel. Guests and pundits who have appeared on Fox News are more likely to be caught lying.
It didn’t really matter what Google did. Anything that did not confirm rightwing fantasies would enrage conservatives.
When I went to see the film, I noticed that young kids coming out of the performance just concluded were talking excitedly about the movie and what they loved, but groups of adults included glum looking people muttering and clearly not pleased. This clued me in that I might be in for something less than a universally…
Again, there is a huge difference between what fans “know” or “suspect” and actually making it part of the story that is being told in a way that is interesting and exciting.
RE: The only difference between them is Luke trained (albeit minimally) as a Jedi, while Leia focussed on being a leader of the Rebellion and only uses her powers instinctively.
RE: Because Luke inherited it from his father, it makes perfect sense that Leia would be incredibly powerful in a similar way.
RE: In other words, no matter if costs were eliminated from the equation, all the evidence seems to indicate that the same exact gender, race, and economic tendencies still apply.
Sigh. Many of these “tips” are inconsistent or contradictory. For example, manufacturer guidelines on maintaining batteries don’t mean squat if the real issue is that battery performance is “just a natural feature of the technology.”
