It’s not just FaceBook and other tech companies. Many affluent pockets around the country price everyone else out of affordable housing, so teachers, fire fighters, police officers, etc., cannot afford in or even near the communities that they are supposed to serve.

RE: Donald Trump is obviously the worst president the United States has had in the past half century

Tyrion’s proposed attack on Casterly Rock isn’t directed at Cersei’s gold supply (we’ve previously learned that there is little left and the kingdom is horribly in debt), but to severely weaken the Lannister connection to the kingdom. But now that Dany’s naval forces have been taken out, Cersei’s military position

RE: So was anyone else super disappointed that mad scientist Qyburn’s super secret dragon killing weapon was a freakin’ ballista?

Well, we are seeing how Cersei is playing her hand, and what has happened to a chunk of Dany’s navy. We also see the beginnings of Cersei’s anti-aircraft (uh, I mean, anti-dragon) weaponry.

Maybe the “Bright” trailer is too short to give an idea of critical details, but I am immediately turned off by the idea of the relatively more attractive elves at the top of the magical food chain, and a blonde golden child elf at the heart of the magical mystery, with the Orcs at the bottom of society. The way

Weird. Looks as though they paralleled human racism in the depiction of elves, Orcs, etc. The trailer is more confusing than interesting.

Cersei is powerful because she is willing to go to total war, and has the material to do so. Sitting on the Iron Throne is symbolic, making other rulers bend the knee is both symbolic and an acknowledgment of her authority.

Power confers legitimacy. The blanks can be filled in later.

Taylor Swift will appear as Dany’s long lost cousin.

Also, I just looked at the text of Cersei’s message to Jon. You are right, Cersei’s frame of reference is very limited. But she is also a powerful queen, and Jon cannot ignore it. Similarly, he cannot yet ignore the fears and petty desires of other powerful figures, and may have to fight those who cannot comprehend

Jon and Sansa are both correct, and they are both wrong. Jon knows about the White Walker threat. But few others do, and even some of those who know either under-estimate it, like the Arch Maester, or dismiss it as a fantasy.

John Boyega is one of the leads protecting his neighborhood from aliens in “Attack the Block,” and Will Smith stars in a version of “I Am Legend,” and I suppose, the Men in Black films.

RE: Voters don’t actually care whether you work together.

Trump and the Republicans found their Terri Schiavo case, to prove their “pro life” bona fides. Sad.

RE: But, for some reason, the Democratic Party, Sanders and his supporters seem more interested in converting racist Donald Trump supporters while dismissing the electoral power of black female voters who’ve never wavered in their support of a party that consistently treats them like side pieces.

Oh, no. Not more of the fantasy of the grass roots.

RE: Well, they didn’t seem to have much issue with prepping for all out war and running around looking for dragonglass to mine.

Actually, Jon (and Sam, I suppose) are going to have to be able to get everyone else to pay attention to the threat of the White Walkers in time to do something about them. In the meantime, to most people there, they are not a real threat, and so all the details of their current lives matter more, including issues of

Now they tell me...
