I sometimes enjoy the parking lot of a car show more than the car show. The parking lot is where all the enthusiasts with they’re half finished cars park, not for the garage queens that are taken out and polished twice a year.
The phrase “Low range” indicates that there is a way to use a range of gears at increased torque multiplication. In the case of the Subaru I suspect its a true “low range”, meaning a 3rd variable in the torque multiplication figures (transmission x transfer case x final drive) versus just 2 with US Subaru’s…
yeah, with the manual trans that only gets you a 21:1 crawl ratio, its not what I would call “low range”.
Yeah, it depends on the swap. Subaru used different AWD systems depending on your transmission, so you have two get a new ECU, which requires wire harness work. They also used different axles and hubs between some of the models so you’d have to swap those out.
Me neither. I pretty much scroll past all super car content. In fact, I was just thinking yesterday that there are too many supercars at my local cars and coffee, and not enough charismatic old beaters.
Everyone always assumes I am really into supercars, when really, they are what I care about the least
If I were him, because of the fines, I’d rid myself of it and find the largest, ugliest rusted busted piece of shit car I could find and park it there until I died. Problem with our society today is everyone is nosey and are habitually offended by nothing.
This isn’t the first time I’ve been to Mount Haruna (known as Mount Akina in Initial D), but it is the first time…
I knew my “never buy GM” rule was a good idea. You just confirmed it. You probably had the AC fan running full blast. You know you’re not supposed to do that with a GM...
I don’t agree, really — the sound, noise, smell, and sometimes genuine weirdness of the old mechanicals is a huge part of it for me.
Today Subaru is known for having all-wheel drive and... uh... well, they’re known for having all-wheel drive. That’s…
