Left side is not the correct side for the gas tank filler. That is, it's not if you're primary concern is safety, which Volvo considers from time to time.

You know what technology I've always had good luck with...in regards to rear view visibility? glass. And lots of it. All the cars I've bought with my own money have AMAZING visibility in the rear...and the front and everywhere because of that amazing technology of windows that were meant to be seen out of.
Best to check the dipstick before starting it up too - everyone's capable of making mistakes from time to time!
That's totally understandable, and could literally be life or death. But if we're talking pea-sized hail, which was my experience and pretty much what I saw in this video, that's no reason to cower under shelter and act as a roadblock.

I hate big screens in cars, and I really hate touch screens in cars. Now that car manufacturers will be required by law to have an LCD screen as the centerpiece of their dashboards, "infotainment centers" will be standard equipment on anything that isn't a bottom rung econo blob. I hate infotainment centers in cars.
There's a difference. I might need the airbags. I won't need the backup camera. I will have a very difficult time seeing the screen as I am looking over my shoulder while I am backing up.
...and another reason not to buy a new car.
