Not only would they need to configure menu options, but the entire engine itself... Since the map(s) found in Dayz and ARma 2/3 itself/themselves is/are huge. The games also have very large draw distances, which would obviously have to be heavily tweaked for the consoles due to how large the maps are and a lot of

Actually, it's on neither. Rocket has confirmed they will be using their own version of the Real Virtuality engine (engine that powers the ARma series) taking aspects from Arma 2 and 3 and adding in aspects of their own. This and many other things were said and confirmed during a reddit AMA.

Copyright issues, etc, etc.

Try saying that with a straight face after seeing steam sale stats.

Only... That's false. Metro can have more than two applications running.

Do your own research before you believe anything that's said. The metro can have more than two applications running at any time.

But man, is it fast.

You say that now...

Like stealing candy from a baby.

By that logic, you could just about be living for free. I take it you steal cars, electricity, water, gas, food, and other things as well?

I'm having the same login issue. Didn't have it before, not even with this new system... must be a new bugg-o :/

Are you using the Six Launcher to install updates for Dayz and launch servers?

It's still enough to run arma 2 at least on medium. He shouldn't be having that much of a chug. Just noticed he's using a mobile gpu. That could be part of the source, but he should still be able to run the game on medium to high.

That's incredibly odd. I assume you're playing dayz with the Six launcher, and that everything is updated? Also assuming you're using the full Arma II: CO edition, and not using just OA and ARma 2 free? Your drivers are also updated? You're not using crossfire, are you?

30 dollars is full price now? >.> Not to mention, this game has been on sale for nearly two weeks on the official site and it goes in sale regularly.

You really should've bought it. D:

This mod plays like Arma 2 does — it's an immersive, simulation, realistic, gritty experience. To most people, that doesn't equal fun, but to some, it does.

It makes perfect sense to be weary that the game standalone could fall flat, due to the engine and resources they're using belonging to Bohemia, they'd have to start from scratch — unless, of course, Bohemia allowed them to use their resources still.

They're literally the same type of game. I guess you just like dayz more because... it has zombies and is more of a rolepaly scenario for zombies?

Meaning... Your fps was low, or latency was high?
