The paying for secret characters is something I don't mind as much. So long as they're not on-disc characters that were gated off, having to pay for them makes sense.

I got that it was sarcasm, but I wasn't certain why, because it makes no sense in context. It seems like it was just shoehorned in because you wanted to complain, but didn't know what to complain about or where to go to do it. So you picked a stereotypical PC master race argument, found an article that was

I dunno; I would give it a "yes" and any other DW a "no" as well. I've got pretty much the same feeling that Stephen's writing about here. There is nothing appealing in Dynasty Warriors, but wrap it in a coating that doesn't suck, and it just doesn't feel as boring. I wouldn't give it a high score, but I'd recommend a

I see your Hyrule Warriors, and raise you one Pong. It also doesn't require online to function, and is just as useful a comparison.

Logic that doesn't follow tends to blow minds. If there were an official means of using a gamecube controller for your handheld, then you would be all for it, but there isn't, which is a good reason not to give a shit about the handheld version. But... there is for the Wii U. It'll have solid GameCube controls.

It's a cool mod that does not hurt you in any way, and lets them have fun building something to play the game the way that they want to play it. There's nothing pathetic about that. There is something pathetic about getting upset over it, though.

You are correct. And yet, people can still sue for it. The lawsuit will be frivolous, and it will get thrown out on its ass, but it's still time, stress, and possibly money. Whereas Kotaku can avoid wasting that time and stress, and lose absolutely nothing, by blurring some words.

Whether they expect it or not makes no difference; it's still a legal quagmire. Blurring the names lets Kotaku avoid legal culpability while still giving us exactly who they are. It's the best of both worlds.

I will die laughing if there is a brofist button.

I agree about so much of the game industry being male-driven, but in this case, I think it's a good departure from the norm. Final Fantasy has always been either well mixed, or pure female; an all male game is a massive departure. More importantly, the bro road trip trope has been done to death in movies, but I can

You'd prefer to have Vaan back. Therefore, your argument is invalid. The reason does not matter.

Have you played Final Fantasy before? Because it's 2 out of 6, gamers most certainly scream to the high heavens over trivial and irrelevant things, and political agendas have had a major role in many great games for a long time now.

Same here. I stopped playing about a year ago, and I've been strongly considering going back recently. This pretty much nails it.

Given that both of these communities are still steadily growing... I'm not sure you know what moribund or stagnant mean.

Good to see the system works.

Because a name that sounds like a horror game title written in English trumps Japanese people nonsensically stringing together English words because they think it sounds cool in a language they do not know.

I get what your saying here, and you're certainly not wrong to want this. I'm just not sure this game is intended to scratch the itch you want scratched.

When their plan was to have a self sufficient five year cycle, and they failed? When they decided to put their eggs in a basket they couldn't control? Yes, that's their fault. I love Double Fine, I still do, and I while I'm sad DF-9 couldn't get the support it needed, I don't want a refund... but come the fuck on.
