The incentive to try harder is that you get more of a challenge, which is fun for people who actually appreciate harder difficulties. If that is not enough incentive, then don't try harder. The change and response to how you play is that the difficulty changes the gameplay itself; the mere existence of difficulty…
I got into the original P4 in high school. Absolutely adored it.
Totally OK. There's a couple side scenes that call back to P3, but you're not missing out on anything but the satisfaction of going "hey, I know that reference!" a couple times.
I can confirm from JohnNiles: in FES, you cannot control your party members. It's reliant on AI, which isn't game breaking, but it's really not great. In P3P you can control them, since it came out after P4, which for me makes P3P far better, even with the downsides.
P3FES is on the PS3 as a PS2 classic; it's P3, plus an extra 30 hour post-game storyline, but without the female MC option from P3P.
You seem to be under the impression that playing a single player RPG on harder difficulties is somehow "bettering yourself". It's not. It's an unnecessary mechanic added purely for those of us who enjoy it. If the extra difficulty isn't reward enough, that doesn't mean you should make the game worse for people who…
Semi-related... watching Gravity Falls, Bob's Burgers, and Adventure Time in quick succession can be really disconcerting.
Oof. Yeah, that would definitely fit the bill. What in the hell happened last year?
XCOM for best strategy, I could understand. There are very few games that could possibly give it a run for its money.
Even there, it's not the same. Sexual assault indicates an imminent physical threat, whereas sexual harassment would, at worst, imply it without any indication of immediate action. Someone coming up on stage and making sexual comments about her frame is definitely harassment, but it's not assault.
I haven't watched any of this, so I may certainly be wrong... but based purely on that description, it is not a rape joke. It's a sexual harassment joke. Which is still shitty, but nowhere near the same scale.
He's the streamer, so the group organizes when he starts up the stream and they see what server they'll be on.
Fair enough. I'm not sure how that happened, given that it's a visual medium, but it's not like I can tell you what you picture him as.
Very true. The internet even has people who complain about what other people are complaining about with a nonsensical strawman, and then complain about how there's too much complaining. Of course, I didn't realize that pointing out the biggest difference in the redesign to someone who wasn't seeing it was complaining,…
They got me at background voice yelling "TEAR DOWN THIS WALL". I love Krieger moments.
Honest question: have you ever seen Knuckles before?
The comparison to XCOM was a general "you"; it had nothing to do with what you, personally, do in it. It's an example of using an outlier to misrepresent something, which is exactly what's happening here.
And your experience is exactly as influential as the people who took 20-30 hours. You played it through on easy, without any attempt at exploration or side missions. You beat it in 8 hours. Nothing here has any impact on the average gamer who played it, got absorbed, and got the 12-15 hour experience that was…
