Well, there's a free trial to accommodate that. Only 3 days, but none of the silly restrictions that go into normal 7-day trials, and you can earn bonus trial time, store money, and good low-level items just by completing a certain number of missions in the trial.

One has to work very hard to both learn about this game at all and not near anything good about it.

Just putting up a Kickstarter doesn't have a cost, correct? So I'd imagine that those who come just under the bar could take a few weeks, flesh out their promotional material, make some extra pitches on websites like this, and then come back and get a good deal more than they would have had the original campaign

Ohhh. Yeah, Persona 1 has about as much in common gameplay-wise with P3 and P4 as Link's Crossbow Training has with Gears of War. Do not let it sully the rest of the series for you.

To be honest, I drastically prefer an all-or-nothing approach. It's a good way to gauge interest, not to mention that it promotes setting a realistic minimum funding fee.

The community which exists so that DotA players can point to somebody and say "at least I'm not as douchey as them".

Pirating when there is no actual way to support the developers is not the problem. I sure as hell did it.

When the 6 year old car is more powerful and capable than the 2013 model? Yeah, there's a problem, and it's not with the 6 year old car.

I fail to see how a continuation of the Mewtwo line is a problem. Mewtwo is the best Pokemon ever.

It's a spoiler, to improve downforce and traction.

My memories of this game extend to being entirely frustrated by the first ten minutes of the iPad remake.

Shit. So many people have pronounced it like "throat wobbler mangrove" to me, and I've mocked them all. Now I just feel stupid.

To me, the pronunciation is Otaku, but with a K sound at the very beginning, which doesn't really influence the vowel sounds. As far as I can tell, the given pronunciation doesn't deviate from that. If there was an r in the second syllable and the first pronounced like "coat", then yeah, but the OP didn't say that.

I'm confused... why would you feel the need to correct someone who is pronouncing it correctly?

Honestly, I'd say the price tag is far more than worth it. Even in buggy, unfinished alpha, it's a game that hits all the same buttons as Dwarf Fortress but with a far, far better interface. The work isn't in the graphics, its in the simulation itself, and so far it seems to be detailed enough to be worthy of a full

They all look alike when you're just watching it. When you play it, a) the depth far outweighs the graphics, and b) you quickly learn that they have enough variables in body type, skin, and head that the prisoners you need to pay attention to become quite distinct. I can recognize Sven "The Swedish Assassin" while

I hope you'd pay employees to wear Turian makeup full-time.

Whoops, meant Chambertlo, not Spacerac.

Oh, I get the point perfectly. Spacerac and people like him are bloodthirsty hypocrits who preach tolerance and love until someone disagrees, and then it's off with their head. What I take issue with is the idea that this hypocrisy is even remotely confined to the "tolerant left".

They're Russian.
