If you get the right one, they are great for removing those keyed lug nuts. I’d always have a couple in my box at the dealership because you’d be surprised at how many people lose that key or throw it away. You can’t use an impact on them, but they are good for a few lug nuts before they go to shit.

A palm sander and 20 minutes of time will make one of the newer cast iron pans a lot better. Obviously, a good wash and seasoning are required before use, but they end up pretty nice.

My matco guy doesn’t give a shit. Tell him I need to buy a new wrench, because I had to cut one down for fitment. He tells me to bring it over. Looks at it, hands it back, and gives me another one for free. Told me he’d rather me keep the cut down one instead of me cutting another one down later.

I had an old pickup that if you turned too sharply to the left, the seat would unlatch itself and you would slide all the way back. Out of reach of the gas and brake pedals, and if you were not ready for it, it would take the steering wheel out of your hands as well.

One of my buddies had a backyard shooting range in the 90's that we called the Grassy Knoll. Couple hundred yards out was a burned out convertible that we used to joke about and shoot at.
