And no one is going to stop you from thinking that way. I never claimed that “the Cosby Show” created the pattern. Again, that is you claiming that I wrote something that I never did. The show did give him an image and a social power, that seems to have led to many of the women (again 1980s and beyond) have a struggle

Good point.

Not really. We should never forget our past. Even if it is painful and embarrassing. It is the only way to make sure we don’t repeat it. We should have the flag around to remind us but take an Indiana Jones stand on it; “It belongs in a museum!” There and not flying on the back of a truck.

They’re all symbols of treason.

I haven’t read every personal account by the victims but this cannot be true. He was A-list before the Cosby Show, that is the reason the Cosby Show came into existence. It’s the reason he was so welcomed at the Playboy mansion. So if it wasn’t the Cosby Show it would be any one of his other works: I Spy, buddy comedy

I’d settle for everyone being collectively and uniformly disgusted by it.

I think Maryland was one of the Union states to still keep slaves though even during the war. Maryland was in the Union, but they were a pro-slave-owning state. And that license plate and flag has less to do with the Confederacy as it does to do with hatred and thinking non-white people are less-than.

It’ll be nice when none of us can recall a confederate flag.

Well, Maryland is south of the Mason-Dixon line.

That is one brilliant, terrific cover, capturing the myth, the violence, the domestic affective relationship between the viewers and the cast, everything. Brilliant.

It may be a minor point, but I’m glad that the “shatter” obliterates Cosby’s image and leaves the others relatively intact. It would seem unfair if the rest of the cast was defaced or vandalized.

That’s happened to me too. So annoying! Just let us be!

I would punch someone. My sister constantly had people touching her and telling her what she should and should not be eating/drinking/wearing doing when she was simply trying to exist while pregnant. I once had someone touch my flat (ish) belly when I was wearing size 4 pants because I had on a tunic top and

Touching strangers is so offensive and intrusive. What is it about pregnant women (or even looking lile you might be pregnant) that makes people think it’s ok to touch?! Ughhh!

They have never met anyone pregnant in real life?

amen. Motherhood in the internet age seems like an endless nightmare feedback loop of shaming, self righteousness and self hatred

#truth. i’ve LOST weight while pregnant (hahaha, goodbye alcohol!) and am still showing. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I have two friends who are at 20 weeks and 22 weeks right now. Both are TINY girls. They look pretty much like this. Two weeks ago, nothing. Now they are clearly pregnant. These people need to fuck off. I have another girlfriend who didn’t even look pregnant until she was 25 or 26 weeks and people were equally rude -

People are the worst, but here is a cat hugging a toy.

IS THIS REAL?
