You dont profile crime based on rate, you do it based on actual offenses. If you are only looking at a minority of offenders (black), regardless of their rate, you are leaving the majority of offenders (white) to go free. Thats the problem with racial profiling.

Your math is way off, and you dont patrol crime based on per capita, you do it based on ACTUAL crime.

Actually it happens a HELL of a lot often than you may want to admit. Ive been profiled, harassed and even assaulted by cops due to my skin color (I have no criminal record and have never broken a nontraffic law) more than once, and it has yet to be reported. In fact, every black person I know has a similar story.

Sorry pal, but look up the data from various groups that actually do separate hispanics from nonhispanic whites. Its the same. Nonhispanic whites are more likely to use or sell drugs, yet blacks (and hispanics) are the ones profiled for it. In fact, if you click the 2nd link I gave, it shows that plain as day.

But percentages do not make sense in reasoning for profiling. If white people are MOST offenders, logically and mathematically it makes no sense to profile any group that represents less than MOST offenders more often than that MOST category.
