While Deadspin reports the shenanigans of someone like Odell and someone like Gronk in pretty much the same irreverent and affectionate tone, anyone else notice that most other outlets do not? How many times are black players expected to apologize for having fun? Or criticized for letting down the team because they

What in the actual fuck are you talking about?

No, this article is not criticizing Kamala Harris’ tone.

I never suggested that they were never criticized for actual things they’ve done, nor did I suggest that they should never be criticized ever.

And David Brock’s conscience led him to later write Blinded By the Right, in which he described, in detail, the “vast right-wing conspiracy” that Hillary Clinton described, for which she was roundly mocked. He’s been trying to make up for his days as a GOP attack dog ever since.

Yep, that’s the reason our government doesn’t seem to care that it’s been proven over and over again that funding a comprehensive social safety net actually costs less than having one.

I’d suggest that someone do a study to show that the cost of administering these extra hurdles isn’t more than the amount saved by weeding out people who actually are cheating the system, except our government never seems to care that it’s been proven over and over again that funding a comprehensive social safety net

This guy’s picture should become the standard response to any posts about the Aryan master race.

I doubt he’s going to a particularly hellish prison. Last I heard, he was going to join Bernie Madoff.

Biden is too old. And Cory Booker is being criticized for his actual words and deeds, not the manner in which he does them, whereas the women are, as always, being criticized for their tone.

I am not offering any opinion whatsoever about the movie’s quality. I am simply remarking on how unusual it is to hear people dissecting a kid’s fantasy movie in such an in-depth way, and expressing an opinion as to why they are doing that.

I do not for one minute think that they have the opinion they do because of their hatred for black people.

Of course they do. But they don’t generally criticize them for painting in broad strokes or being too earnest. If they did, every Disney and Pixar movie would get the same criticism. I mean, since when do earnest white dudes get all het up over the camera angles in a kid’s movie?

I’m not saying critics shouldn’t discuss the quality of a kid’s movie. The three you mentioned are stupid lazy cash grabs, and deserve to get terrible reviews.

Every time I see the words “dumpster fire,” I smile inwardly, remembering how the AP style guide started allowing the use of a lowercase d during the Trump campaign, due to the massive surge in usage.

I think that the fact that this movie carries so much cultural weight that it has led people to forget that it is, in fact, a kid’s movie. I rolled my eyes a bit at the trailer even as I inwardly acknowledged that I would have LOVED it when I was the lead character’s age. And I’ll bet every critic dissing it would

If someone had told me, after viewing this film, that those two nebbishy guys would be the leads in two huge action franchises just a few years later, I’d have wondered what drugs you were on.

I do closed captioning all day long, and I am supposed to clean up people’s speech as I go, unless the client specifies otherwise.

The role of fear is not being talked about enough. The Russians hacked the RNC too, but those emails weren’t released. Given that Bush, Cheney, and Rumsfeld used a private server maintained by the RNC to discuss the Iraq War, from which 22 million emails mysteriously disappeared, god only knows what they found.

I’ve always said that English beats up other languages and steals their vocabulary.
