Sounds good but know yourself before going down that route. I bought a downtrodden out-of-date brick rancher with a huge wooded lot in a good neighborhood telling myself “I can fix that up in a couple of years.” Yeah, right. Inertia and costs but the kibosh on that dream and, twenty years later, there are still

The technology probably already exists for the manufacturers to cure the problem for us but it is not really important to them that we can use all of the product we paid for. The spray bottles used by Clorox for their “Clean-Up Cleaner Bleach” has a clever (but rather obvious) hack which routes the pickup tube to the

I’ve always loved the term “natural” which invariably seems  meant to imply “good for you” in adverts. If I was to feed you “natural” cyanide extracted from “natural” stone fruit pits you would be “naturally” dead nonetheless.

I don’t do Apple but computing is computing. When I built my last desktop I put in 16gB figuring that it would be plenty. Then identical memory showed up at a bargain price so I bought 16 more and installed them. So now I have 32gB but, after study and analysis, I find that I seldom get near the 16gB mark with even

One might just get into serious S&M and then look at the prep as an entertainment event.

Sometimes the light at the end of the tunnel proves to be an express train speeding toward you...

I had a perfect out. When I was called I went and during voir dire I told the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. Yes, I did work for another court system and knew in detail how things worked down to the most trivial details. Yes, I did believe that children are capable of lying, either on their own or

I live in central Eastern Tennessee. When it comes to electrical power, my neighborhood is the third world mostly causes by lax-to no maintenance of the infrastructure. I’ve gone through 26-hour outages triggered by, literally, 2 inches of snow. Some neighbors only 100 yards away have had it worse with outages lasting

Or you could have proper freeze-proof faucets in the first place and, feeling smug, ignore all of these instructions.

My local Carolina Wrens are too quick and smart to fall for that.

Sounds interesting. Can you point to a recipe anywhere?

“Do you like your crust burnt on top and raw on the bottom?”

Simple is good but I have to add more ingredients so that it tastes right to me. At the very least it needs oregano and/or basil and for more substance I add mushrooms. Yeah, I know that the mushrooms don’t normally go in marinara but I know what I like.

And when you go for the “medical tape” be sure to get something like “3M Micropore” not the almost-unremovable sort that will stay stuck for weeks on end until soaked off with hot water. The latter will do the job but is likely to painfully pull off skin.

What happens? If precedent holds, the Senate says “Our guy did nuttin! Nuttin ya’ hear!” after Moscow Mitch delays, prevents evidence and witnesses from being introduced, and coordinates closely with the accused’s lawyers to make sure that he did what was required to get him off again.

I’ll keep asserting that this is not America. This is the failed state of Trumpistan, rapidly sliding down to third-world status and possibly beyond.

My oversized Lab mix once dragged a large ultra-deluxe pizza (with jalapenos) from the kitchen counter and scarfed down most of it while I was busy setting he table. No bad effects although there was a serious thirst and significant laxative effect from all of fat in the pizza meat and cheese. She seemed to be well

Roux is definitely the way to go. I always use my fat separator to get the pan-dripping fat to use and if that doesn’t look like enough I add butter. I always aim for equal weights of fat and flour but that is all approximate and have only ever used regular all-purpose flour. I add stock to the remainder of the pan

If you are eating the same thing every day and it is the right thing then why not? I make a killer vegetable beef soup that would support healthy life almost indefinitely and it tastes good. I make huge pots of it when I decide the time is right and freeze many meals worth for future use.

“I’m not thinking it’d be good for off-roading”
