Oh & I completely forgot about the Vectrex version...
Why does an e-cigarette have or need that much computer power?
Ummm.... That’s Impossible Mission.
As others have said Starfox was on the Snes, not the Nes, but I’m curious how this emulator would cope with the Nes version of Elite, which I’m fairly sure was tile based because the Nes couldn’t cope with real vectors.
I always assumed Bae was a corruption of Beau, but then I am getting on a bit & I’ve never really been that up on slang.
I think she’s Bekka, one of the New Gods. Normally married to Orion, but might not be in this considering it’s basically an Elseworld. http://www.dccomics.com/comics/justice…
Wally will be back for a couple of months during Convergence, but unfortunately it doesn't look like there's much chance of him coming back permanently atm.
They didn't sell it with the ram pack?
Don't get me wrong, I liked the ZX81, but it had a rubbish keyboard (especially if you where typing longish listings in from books or magazines), was generally a bit limited* & I tended to have problems saving & loading. I got a Spectrum a couple of years later then an Amiga.
First computer I ever used would have been a ZX81 (no real keys, just a touch sensitive membrane that was too small and had no real feeling anything had happened when you pressed a key) and the oldest would probably be one of the Commodore Pet's they still had in the computer room at school. Didn't use them much…
But surely they have to eat meat/fish, etc? (I mean really, they HAVE to)
Well there was Bureaucracy, which wasn't really a sequel to HHGTTG but unfortunately was the only other game he did with Infocom. (Unless you mean Milliways? But that was never finished... )
It's a different game. Try it on World of Spectrum's java emulator then compare it to the flash version the BBC already have up & it should be fairly obvious. As far as I can remember no Infocom games where ever released for the Spectrum, although the +3 would probably have been able to manage them ok.
Ok, I've downloaded & installed it & it runs really badly on the Win7 1.6ghz netbook I'm using atm. Anyone got any ideas on how to configure it to improve performance?

No problem. Good luck.
I'm only a user and have no power or authority, but you could post stuff to your personal blog page with the #observationdeck tag, so it shows up here: http://kinja.com/tag/observatio… where it'll usually be seen and crossposted to the observationdeck proper. I think the tptb check the observationdeck pretty regularly…
The search box is at the bottom of the top-bar drop down menu that looks like three horizontal bars, similar to one you might have seen on Android. Although to be honest the internal search was never that great, you might be better off using google with something like site:io9.com cats (or whatever).
Well, there was the Pippin: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apple_Ban… which apparently cost $599 at launch. Bit obscure and a complete failure though, to be honest I only heard of it from browsing sites about old systems: http://www.old-computers.com/
