Very few require DX11 by default as the minimum. Most DX11 titles support 9 as well, and generally it's optional, I know Saints row 3, and civilization V both have options at startup to run DX9 or 10/11.

Most likely it will be windows 9 exclusive since that's not far off. A year tops and we'll have 9 on displays in bestbuy with DX12 native since microsoft likes to make each DX version exclusive to a new windows platform since Vista.

Some 65+% of the windows world however agrees with him.

It should be noted however, that afaik this is not live on the NA/EU servers as of yet, this is part of the korean update only. Though the NA servers are undergoing weekly maintenance until 9:15CST (Give or take), so I'll find out for sure then.

I know, but 7 doesn't support DX11.1-2 afaik. Because microsoft thinks that somehow gamers will scream for DX11.1-2 despite that most gamers stuck with XP when Vista tried that, and people even found ways to dismantle some of the DX10 only games to run on DX9 and XP. And Dx10 was a huge step up from DX9. Not so much…
