Sheldon Brown has a short description why belts aren't used as often in bikes.

Dem stacks. (This is the stack of 1971 season winning M8F)

This, or the Stratos Zero, or the Ferrari Modulo.

And it will be driven by total and utter cunts. At least here in the netherlands. Seat-driving proles are the worst offenders in douchiness.

Tatra T87. This car was a favorite of high ranking Nazi officers after Germany invaded the Czech republic. It also surprised quite a few high ranking Nazi officers since the V8 in the rear made for some tail happy driving dynamics.

Lift kit. You just turned a perfectly good vehicle into something that handles like shit and worse, any accident with a normal vehicle will involve death because you chose to be the cunt that wants to have a bumper at the head height of others.

Travis, you're required to have a plate. If you don't have a plate, people can't recognize the car on security tapes or on photos of an eventual crime scene. I understand those cops.

Jezebel crosspost.

Yeah, and Jezebel covered it too. Still, I'd rather read it here than to venture there.

Don't forget the Fiat Turbina!

Stylized Viper for a logo?

Oh, bad drivers are a universal problem. Here in the Netherlands, everybody rides their bike from age 4. And still people just plain suck at it. Especially since old people all have bought electrically assisted bikes, which are way too fast for their own good. Can't say I never cut someone off just because I don't

Ah that's weak. People usually don't steal bike components here since a whole bike is just as easy to steal. I know the netherlands has a great infrastructure regarding bikes, I'm just interested in the cultural differences. :)

ZKH Prins Bernhard van Lippe-Biesterfeld had a Ford V8 which he had hopped up to a then-ludicrous 145 horsepowers. He crashed it in 1937 at approx. 80 mph into a lorry. It was blamed on bad traffic signage. Car looks surprisingly decent for such a crash.

Hmm, here in the netherlands usually appartments have a bike storage, but a lot of people just leave their bikes outside. And yes, there are bike thieves, but bikes are usually stolen from bike parking lots at train station etc.

Already too late. BMW does everything to annoy brand loyalists. They give mini loyalists the Mini Countryman, take Rolls-Royces to the 'ring, and BMW loyalists get the X6M, the fake noise M5, the fake noise M135i, Bangle, the weight, anything GT....need I continue?

How expensive are those bike share programs? I live in the netherlands, and while there are similar efforts here, nobody really takes them seriously because if you want a bike, you just buy one. It's 21.30 over here and I could buy a beater bike this evening for approx 40 euros. If I really wanted to have a bike for

Are those bikeshare things really a succes or are they just there so legislators can feel good about themselves?
