And of course, Paul Kersey was an architect.

To be totally fair, I suspect “ex-special forces operative” makes it a bit easier to explain how the protagonist is able to kick unlimited amounts of ass near-singlehanded than “was in charge of the motor pool”.

Right? I’ve loved these movies since I was a little kid in the 80's (who really shouldn’t have been watching them). I watched the Fury Road trailer endlessly. Hell sometimes I’ll still put it on.  But this just... I’m not feeling it. And I don’t know what it is. I’ll see it for sure. But I’m in no rush.

I can kinda see it, in a Battinson sort of way. Though a villain or Q-type role seems more apt.

Yeah I’m not seeing it. Not that I’d hate it. It would be interesting and I would watch it. But it would definitely be taking Bond in a different direction. Which is fine!  Just hard to envision.

It should have Ron. But the most annoying thing about all of the Fallout games, is the people's inability to sweep. It should be cleaner.

I liked Daryl in France more than I thought I would ( I really like the cast), but it’s hard not to see the kid as actively trying to kill Daryl.

We have to hit the "I Got the Shit Kicked Out of Me" and "Ow, My Balls!" era first but we're moving ahead at a steady pace.

My interpretation of the end scene was that Lillard’s character was already dead and the ghosts were torturing him for the hell of it.

Yeah, I felt the fantasy/sci-fi stuff was just on the wrong side of too much with the actual time travel, particularly how long it was and how much they interacted with the past. Like you said, those elements in the previous movies, while fantastical, were brief enough that it didn’t really take you totally out of

Yeah, I quite enjoyed the film, but it certainly feels like there were a ton of scenes filmed that never made the cut.  Shaunette Wilson’s character honestly didn’t have much of a point in the film, but I bet there are extra scenes that fully fleshes out her role.

I remember being really excited for this when I first saw the trailer, but also being distinctly whelmed by the final film. Supposedly though there were some background shenanigans involving the head of the distributor not being happy and having the film re-cut behind the director’s back. There’ll be a dusty hard

I loved this movie but loved the trolling it caused far more. If you didn’t see it, someone made a gif out of the end of the movie’s big fight only focusing on Dinklage and the monster. It was cropped and made to look blurry. Then posted it on internet saying it was a screener scene without final cgi of Tyrion

I liked it ok, but I do mostly feel the same way. I was into some stuff they were doing, but not enough to feel much more than indifferent to this news.

I commented to my partner that I felt they’d finally found a way to make Miller’s original Flash seem less annoying by creating this much worse characterization lol.

I also liked the first few episodes and had high hopes but then it devolved into such a generic sci-fi show that i ended up hating it so much. Same thing with Westworld, great concept, terrible execution

Felt the same way. I usually love this kind of sci fi, but the first two episodes were great!  then it kind of lost the plot. (bringing the people from the past into the future ended up not having any difference)

As with many io9 articles that seemingly come out of nowhere with “let’s be positive about this thing”, $$$ likely involved.

That’s the problem with the Internet, it supports having a completely black and white view of everything, if what you say doesn’t fit the narrative of good guys vs bad guys , then you basically get lumped in with the bad guys . I mean striking here is a massively important tactic , especially against large
