Exactly. The whole shitfluencer grift is based on the concept of doing something that everyone else isn’t doing. If everyone’s promoting the same product, doing the same thing, then you’re not influencing - you’re influenced.

If any of those announced movies actually happen, I’ll eat my stormtrooper helmet.

The second one lost the scale and weight by making the robots too fast and not keeping the human scale in mind for every shot. I get the whole “What if Voltron, but a bad guy.” but it had so many dead end plot points. It was trying to be everything for everyone and lacked cohesion. The first one had bits that were not

Oh man, I remember the China pandering in Independence Day 2. It was so blatant. At one point you see a group of soldiers walking by displaying a Chinese flag for no reason.

Something like Eternal Darkness should be do-able, since it’s mostly just time-travel themed H.P Lovecraft fanfiction. You could also implement the infamous insanity effects to screw with the audience, stuff like make it look like the video is buffering, your PC crashed or show analogue static even though no one is

I was coming here to say basically the same thing.

That poster for Tale of a Vampire is a thing of beauty. Especially for a movie that’s apparently so obscure it doesn’t even have a Wikipedia page.

A quick Google search shows he actually divorced from his ex-wife as well in 1994. So in the AV Club Continuum, he was born in 1994 during Nazi occupation part 2, was married-off and divorced right away. All of which fueled his later scandalous career.

I think if there had just been the first one, it might remain special. But six installments in, yeah, what’s to love?

I’d assume the end of Phase 6 will introduce massive restrictions on multiverse/timey wimey stuff, otherwise “the Multiverse Saga” won’t be distinct and will just keep getting muddier in whatever 7, 8 and 9 is (mutants!)

The first game got only the love. It is universally praised and regarded as the best story told in gaming.

I watched a Game of Thrones marathon before House of the Dragon came out, and as much as I loved the middle seasons... man, that was lot of eye-gouging and throat cutting and entrails sticking out for four hours a day for a week...

I think this is an astute observation. I’m reminded of when our favorite bands / singers release a breakthrough album, and then for various reasons the followup is more of the same.

I actually think Prime might be interested in giving Westworld a finale season, seeing how Nolan and Joy have a deal with Amazon now. I think they’ll get a green light for a season 5 wrap up if The Peripheral does well.

Leto also seems to be the go-to example of an actor not actually “getting it,” when it comes to Method. It seems like he uses it or roles where it doesn’t always make sense.

He wears that handlebar mustache and long hair way too well. That’s all I see I hear his voice.

He was also one of Will Smith’s uncles on Fresh Prince. And of course, his most celebrated role...

One thing too re: Silver that I’ve seen speculation on elsewhere is that he may not be well, healthwise. There’s subtle references to taking pills and how he’s not afraid of death/is more concerned about building legacy, plus how he’s randomly at the hospital in S5 for no clear reason.

He may well be a character who is

I remember really wanting to play this game and then being just absolutely unfailingly bored with every second of gameplay. I hated the mechanisms and my biggest memory is that every level felt loooooong... just overstuffed with monotonous enemies and combat. I think the story did deserve a better, weirder game.

I watched and thoroughly enjoyed both, it’s possible!
